SPIDER GWEN: EXPOSED CH10: HIGH SPEED HEIST
The next morning after Marc was crowned as the underground champion of New York, Gwen was on the outskirts of Miami, riding a taxi on her way towards the meeting point with Luke. She had a full day to rest and recharge her energy, after the jetlag messed her up a bit. The air was hot and humid, the hum of the taxi’s motor could be heard in the background, as the radio was now telling the morning news.
“Another day in the Sunshine State ladies and gentlemen, and the first day of the famous Speedhunters Showdown, a full on weekend dedicated to anything race-related, feeding the car racing scene in Miami and the entire South. Anyone passionate with speed and adrenaline can experience it at the Miami Speed Track this weekend. Just keep in mind: keep racing on the track and not on the roads. Anyone who disregards this warning will become prey for Wolf Squad.”
“Wolf Squad? Who the hell are those guys?” asked Gwen more to herself, but the cab driver heard it clearly.
