Minas Tirith from "The Lord of the Rings". This was a commissioned piece. Quite honestly, I was absolutely terrified of making this one and I'm sure I hyperventilated more than a few times. Once I had it hollowed out, it sat on my dresser for a week before I had the nerve to start it :/ Probably the most detail I've ever had to fit in to such a condensed space. Because of the detail the sculpture is fairly heavy. All of the rings had to be reinforced with card stock and cardboard to prevent a cave in. The "rock" texture is paper mache. While I couldn't fit the entire King's castle, I did mange the face of it along with the statues, fountain, garden, tower and tree.
I'll post another photo for ring detail.
