Watercolours, inks, Microns and coloured pencils on rough watercolour paper
This is a Chadhiyana piece I did a couple of months ago for an advertisement in the, recently released, premier issue of IAM Magazine (Independent Artists Movement) from MAS Media Studios. It's also one of the two last watercolour pieces I will be outlining in coloured pencils. The reason is, having looked at the first two Chadhiyana comic stories again and again (available on IndyPlanet.com), I feel the coloured pencils, while beautiful, do not reproduce as well as I'd like. I need something bolder that reads clearer, so I may switch over to Microns for all of my watercolour-art outlines going forward (ala this Jon Snow piece seen here).
That said, this is also probably the last Chadhiyana and Sagreembal (the serpent) piece I'll do for a while. As it is, I'm still hard at work on a script for a new Chadhiyana story and, frankly, I don't want the serpent pieces to get old, nor do I want to give anyone the impression that's the limit of the comic's characters and stories. There's plenty of new characters and material coming out of this new script which I'm hoping to begin sharing in the near future. In the meanwhile, if you haven't gotten your hands on a copy of "Chadhiyana," head over to IndyPlanet and do so. So far it's been well received, but I of course want even more people to read and enjoy it.

Hey JM! A brilliant piece, the more I look at it, the more I see all the deep symbolism within.

Thanks, Stanley. I like the piece, but I do have some issues with it. And this was likely the last Chadhiyana piece I'll be doing with coloured pencil outlines. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to starting to tell the next chapter in her story.

Awesome! I also heard you're got a leadership position at CAG! Respect!

Yes and thank you. Creative Director or something like that. Though I'm still waiting to be active in the position. CAG doesn't have anything for me to oversee yet.
