So, I really like the Pokemon spin-off games, Pokemon Dungeon, and I decided to come up with my own version of this world. So I'll start by explaining Explorer Guilds, in this world, they exist all across this world.
There are guilds as small as 5 members and as large of hundreds of members and there is a ranking system for the guilds. E Class: A guild of 5 to 10 members, D Class: A guild of 10 to 25 members, C Class: A guild of 25 to 50 members, B Class: A guild of 50 to 75 members, A Class: A guild of 75 to 100 members, S Class: A guild of 100+ members.
A guild has to have at least five members, and these five members generally fill out different positions/jobs.
The Guild Master, the guilds leader and only position that is actually required.
The Law Keeper/Monitor not unlike a mall cop, or hall monitor, or even a real cop in the larger guilds, he knows the rules of the guild, and he enforces them.
The Treasurer, maintains the money, buying supplies, etc.
The Poster, their job is simple, update the request boards, while the job is a requirement, many guilds will rotate who does it, rather than having a pokemon dedicated to this job.
The Scouter/Recruiter, they look for new members, they know the guilds requirements, if there are any, and recruiter.
The Look Out, similar to the the poster, the job isn't always done by only one pokemon, and it generally isn't a job that any pokemon performs for E class Guilds.
There are other jobs of course, but those are the ones that most guilds have.
Now of course there has to be an organization that that decides these things, and oversees the Guilds. That organization is known simply as the Pokemon Guild Association/Union/ Organization/League etc. For unknown reasons, no one can agree on which to use.
Now on to what gives the spin off its name, Pokemon. There are three types of Pokemon, Civil, Illusionary, and Mad. Civil Pokemon, are Pokemon whom are as intelligent as humans, they live in towns a villages and are the ones in the Guilds.
Illusionary Pokemon only exist in Dungeons, or areas with similar properties. Their as real as a mirage, but don't think that their not dangerous. The properties not only create these Pokemon, but gave them "life", makes their attacks real, makes their bodies feel real, and in rare cases, might even give them the ability to think on a basic level.
Finally, Mad Pokemon, also called Wild Pokemon, are real in the same way as Civil, but they've lost their minds, or never had them to begin with. Most have snapped, however, some are descendants of Mad Pokemon, and thus know nothing else. Sometime Mad Pokemon can be snapped out, but most are a lost cause. Lastly, the reason Mad and Wild are used instead of Feral, is that not all are feral, some are merely, unhinged.
Its important to note that not all Civil Pokemon live in towns and villages, some live in the wild, or even dungeons. This and Mad Pokemon coming back to their senses is why sometimes Pokemon in dungeons will want to join a guild, or particular Explorer team.
There are many more details about this world, but I would rather that I or others fill them in a story or even a comic. (This is a hint to any whom read this, use as you so wish, I'm not only okay with it, but encourage it)
