Medieval Peccatum Pendant by JLHilton Medieval Peccatum Pendant by JLHilton

From the archives... “Peccatum” is Latin for “sin.” This miniature of a medieval painting depicts Adam, Eve, the apple and the serpent. I’ve been collecting ephemera for years and I don’t remember where I got this picture, or who is the artist, but it probably came from an old National Geographic magazine or an old art history textbook. The pendant was created with a brass bezel, and the image set under Ice Resin. Measures 1-1/8 inches across, on a dark brown suede leather cord adjustable between 18-20 inches. Czech glass embellishment. Designed and handmade in my private studio in 2011, one of a kind.
