PostX 0.5 proposed release goals (draft)

PostX 0.5 proposed release goals (draft)

As developement goes on, here is a release goals draft for PostX Gnu/Linux 0.5. I have not set any release date yet. Release date will be announced some time in the later months when things start to take shape. See the proposed release goals from here:   https://trello.com/b/3fkq3u5l/postx-gnu-linux-0-5-proposed-release-goals Leave a comment or feedback if you have any. Thank you.

PostX Gnu/Linux 0.4 has arrived

PostX Gnu/Linux 0.4 has arrived

PostX Gnu/Linux 0.4. is released as 32-bit and 64-bit now. The window manager is Openbox and the overall system is lightweight and can fit to a cd. 64-bit iso size is: 545 megabytes. 32.bit iso size is: 559 megabytes, There  are plenty of customizations on board along with a set of programs designed for a lightweigth desktop usage.  One thing in particular to note is that eventhough PostX is based on Debian Stable it uses OpenRC as an init system. Get more information and download from here:  http://www.techtimejourney.net/postx-gnulinux-0-4-arrives-32-bit-and-64-bit/ Enjoy and give feedback :)

Snaps: Possibly coming to PostX 0.4

Snaps: Possibly coming to PostX 0.4

Just took a crash course on Snaps. As of today, I am considering about packaging snaps to Debian Jessie base and bringing it on board to the future PostX Gnu/Linux. I also have had some requests in the past to create binary installers from my programs. As creating a works-on-all Linux distributions binary is hard(and sometimes even impossible) adopting Snaps would certainly be a solution. Snaps seems likely - since I really want to make sure that everyone who will want to use my software can do so with ease.
