A digital speed painting of the iconic cliffhanger at the end of the first ever episode of Doctor Who, An Unearthly Child.
This was drawn quickly in one sitting at lower than usual resolution in order to celebrate the 46th anniversary of Doctor Who, broadcast on this day, 23rd of November in 1963. Happy Doctor Who Day!
I've had quite the Doctor Who Day, having watched two orphaned Partrick Troughton episodes in my lunch break, listened to Time Lord Rock and Doctor Who novelty records as I worked all day, watched An Unearthly Child in real time at the original air time of 5:15pm, then painted this fan art while listening to the Big Finish Audio The Kingmaker - which means it only took me two hours to draw!
I used SketchBook Pro on a tablet PC, as always!
So the details aren't right, the resolution's low and the proportions are a bit wrong, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOCTOR WHO!
