so, tonight after 20+ years of doing comics with physical inks I have started doing digital inks on my upcoming pages. That's right, tonight's page of Swimmer is the first fully digitally inked page of my career and it'll be followed on Wednesday by Changes. I recently got an XP-Pen tablet and have been learning how to digitally ink pages over my physical pencils (yes, i'm still doing physical pencils i'll work my way up to a fully digital page one day) but, for now i'm just starting to learn how to do digital inks so please forgive me if the pages look a bit off over the next few weeks/months. i'm new to this so i'm still learning and coming from an old school physical inking mindset is hard to get over when trying to learn digital techniques so, if you have any tips i'll gladly listen as i do enjoy learning things slow as I may be on the uptake. I hope you'll still enjoy the new pages however and i'll try to keep em' coming!

Well, this enhances my sense that I'm one of the only people still producing drawings using traditional methods. Doing art that is wholly digital is perfectly valid, but I've been reluctant to make that transition myself, even though I can see advantages to inking digitally, especially when it comes to making changes and fixing mistakes. There's a part of me that is biased in favor of art that is done the old fashioned way, but I also just have difficulty changing with the times and learning new things.
