Illustrator, Carl Pearce lives in north Wales and he enjoys watching films, reading books and taking long walks along the beach with his camera.
Growing up, Carl could not decide whether to be a Policeman, Fireman or a GHOSTBUSTER. In the end he graduated from the North Wales School of Art and Design as an Illustrator.
His first book, The Boys' Beer Book by Jonny Goodall, was published on his graduation day in 2004.
His picture book, The Night the Lights Went Out by Anna Perera, was shortlisted for the 2008 Dundee City of Discovery Picture Book Award.
His work on Attention, Girls! won first prize for Illustrated Text in the 2010 Washington Book Publishers' book design and effectiveness awards.
