It only happened a few weeks ago, but people are still talking about the Nintendo Direct that recently happened. I don't blame them because there were announcements that got me excited as hell. In fact, since there's so many, I have decided to make this list for you all to see. Without further ado, here's my first list of the most anticipated Nintendo Direct announcements.
I have not played any of the WarioWare games, but they have the potential to be superior than Mario Party. Since party games that's just about the mini-games sound like my cup of tea, I am open to the idea of a new instalment coming out.
What is it with the Switch & superior-looking releasing WiiU ports? Anyway, the only new feature Captain Toad offers is a series of new worlds based on Super Mario Odyssey, so I'm only gonna get this if I run out of data on my WiiU.
I don't know anything about this horror game, but it intrigues me. The gameplay looks surreal & wonky, making it stand out from the likes of Resident Evil & the platforming aspect makes it look appealing to me. So there's a chance I might get it if I weren't so worrisome about storage data.
Here's another port except this time, we have a game that looks just as gorgeous as the original. The only thing that's worrying to me is the motion control for the Switch. I just hope it doesn't end up feeling clumsy.
So it looks like we'll be getting another Mario & Luigi remake in 2019. This particular game follows the same formula as the remake of Superstar Saga by including the original adventure & a brand new exclusive adventure starring a side character. I was planning on getting the original DS game, but it looks like it'll no longer be the case.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a big fan of South Park, I am so looking forward to this port. It is a little disappointing that The Stick Of Truth won't get ported, but this game is offering the same immersive RPG gameplay sprinkled with a lot of crude gags that belong in anything with the South Park name. There's no denying that I will get this & I'm even looking forward to awkward & embarrasing scenarios where the parents walk into explicit moments.
This game got me paying attention to the PlayStation 4 last year & hearing about it getting ported to the Switch makes me so happy. The chance to play three famous platformers from the original PlayStation is irrisistable & the fact that it turned BionicleNP & Caddicarus into looney bins is an added bonus. Who knows, maybe I'll become a looney bin after playing this game.
One of the most famous GameCube games is getting remade...sign me up. I love the sequel that came out in 2013 & hearing about the chance to play the original is making me extremely giddy. All I can say is "bring it on ghosties because I'm coming to get ya."
Only Nintendo can get me super-duper excited for a DLC & as a monster fan of Splatoon, I am intrigued by what this DLC has to offer. The chance to play as an Octoling sounds nice, but I'm more excited about what the single-player mode has to offer. The subway station has the potential to offer a lot of exciting & unique obstacle courses & all of what I've said will make me pool some cash for extra content...& that's something I never thought I would say.
And the number one most anticipated announcement is:
Come on, this shouldn't come off as surprising. Anyway, I am a huge fan of the Super Smash Bros games & the wait for all the fast-paced adrenaline fuelled mayhem to come to the Nintendo Switch was inevitable. But announcing it during the Switch's second year in existence through one of the best announcement trailers of all time makes me even more excited. Also, I totally called the inclusion of the Inklings.
