hey everyone who may read this, i appreciate your attention! do you gentlemen and ladies still use twitter and/or bluesky? to tell the truth, i find it all exhausting and unnatural - the need to have an online persona. as someone who draws, both for fun and as a career, i prefer to let an image just go forth online to fail or succeed without pretense of the person behind it. i've had twitter accounts before and it seemed that there was a lot more active swirling and bubbling interaction. i use a newer account now and find the place has become incredibly stagnant and cliquey (i'm very cynical of belonging to groups like comicsgate). there is massive sycophancy and very little plasticity towards new things/ideas. so much regurgitating of old things. the old things may be quality and worthy of attention, but we as artists and thinkers shouldn't be so fascinated by nostalgia/what-once-was that we don't move ahead, inquiring and exploring what we can do and create for the future. maybe its
