The Return of Dream Pets!

Journal Entry: Sat May 1, 2010, 9:56 PM

As the Title Indicates, the Dream Pet "Adoptables" are no longer on Hiatus, and hopefully things will proceed smoothly from here on out!

First Notable Upgrade is this nifty new Journal CSS, Courtesy of my Older Brother
:iconamascusmage: amascusmage
(though I did the artwork.)

It will hopefully make it much easier to denote journals dedicated to the Dream Pets, as apposed to ones with information about myself or other art-related things. :D

Anyways, thank you for your time, and I might still take a few Commission/Subscription exchanges if anyone was interested. ;p

-Jianre M.

What are Dream Pets?

Dream Pets (as I'm tenatively calling them) are adoptables, or vitual pets, drawn and designed by Jianre M. (me.)

For those of you unfamiliar with 'Adoptables' or 'Virtual Pets' in general, they are online 'animals' that one can own, collect, and display. Some times there are more options, including a stat-building effect of some kind or beauty contests. But for now, my Dream Pets, are just cute, collectible critters that you can claim individually as yours. (the concept of each animal and the rights to them still belong to me.)

How to Claim your own Dream Pet!

For the most part, unless I specify otherwise, the new 'eggs' I post up, can be claimed by posting a story for them. "Why you want it, or how you found it", these stories are judged individually by creativity, effort, and the suitability of the story to the Critter in question. I hope that the new owners would be inspired to continue their stories as their pet grows, as I will be posting the story within each adoptable's description!

For those of you less comfortable with writing projects, I will also be holding drawing contests, with Mystery Dream Pets as the prizes!

And if that still doesn't work for you, you can purchase a commission of your own CUSTOM Pet of your choice... though I'll post more details on that further down.

As of yet... there aren't any... but if anyone has a suggestion for one I'm listening. ^_^

  • Listening to: Advantage - "Zelda Fortress"
  • Reading: Fanfiction...
  • Watching: How To Train Your Dragon
  • Playing: Pokemon Ruby
  • Eating: Fast Food
  • Drinking: Soda

Some of your prices are negative moneys awesome! lol.

Also, for a weird science facts, in addition to the many species who can procreate asexually, are hermaphrodites or actually change gender, there was successful experimentations in which the genetic material removed from the egg of one female mouse and implanted into a different female mouse's egg cell, and then perfectly normal female daughters were conceived and born (the hypothesis is that this is applicable to all mammals, but funding for scientific studies is always patchy). So, that whole appropriate genders thing, is becoming less and less important. Especially depending on the species. Clownfish for example, are gender changers, so, in Finding Nemo Marlin should have started turning into a female after his mate died. God, I love Science!

that was meant to be formatting... *rolls eyes* but if it's confusing I'll change it.

Yeah I've heard of gender changing fish, the mice thing is weird though, ...

It just seemed redundant what with the ellipses and all.

Lesbian lizards is a weird one too. All whiptail lizards are female, but they have to go through the motions of copulating in order for their eggs to become active. Or banana slugs... those are just too weird to talk about, it requires googling.

I think I had put those there, before I added the ellipses...

I believe it, there's lotsa weird stuff out there.

Nature, often proving to be much more bizarre than we ever could have imagined.
