Chapter 5...
Go the Distance!
The entire incident weighed on the Furukawa family. On the way back, Izuku had been quiet and despondent, not saying anything, even to Nagisa. When they got home, he isolated himself in his room. He didn’t even come out for supper.
Akio sighed as he carried a tray of food up to his room. He knocked on the door and got no response.
“Izuku? Kid? You in there?” He asked. After a moment, he opened the door and saw the room was empty. But the window was open. Akio set the tray on Izuku’s bed before looking out, seeing his son sitting on the roof, tossing pebbles off the side into the alley way. “Got room for one more?” Akio asked before sidling out there, gingerly positioning himself as he flicked his cigarette away. “Want a bite to eat? It’s in there...”
“I’m not hungry,” Izuku said, voice carrying the monotone of heavy malaise.
“Look, Izuku,” Akio smiled, comfortingly, as he put a hand on Izuku’s shoulder. “You’re not gonna let what those jerks said
