Turning
By jialu
Turning, 2001, oil on canvas, 48 x 48 inches
This is one of my most popular images. In 2001 I began to study the Chinese classic Book of Changes, curious about how things arise and in time fade away. I am always struck by the transitory nature of all things. Nothing ever dies or disappears: it changes from one state to another. Turning is about these changes. My model looks back on the path she has traveled in a sudden movement, arrested in a moment of time, lit by the last rays of the fading light.

Hi, Love your work - this has been featured here [link] ! Have a wonderful day!

I've been thinking that the paintings on DA are highly under-rated, and I knew if I searched I would find some real diamonds; Then I stumbled across your work.
I was very, very right. I adore your paintings, and I can't wait to see what else your gallery has in store for me now, and what it will hold in the future. I look forward to your art.
