--- Pleased to make your acquaintance...My name is Ron....In addition to being a part of the Goth Subculture since the early 80s, I am a digital fantasy artist whom was originally a graphic designer and commercial artist until the mid/late 80s when I had decided to completely switch gears and become a machinist because at that time much of graphic design was starting to go computerized... Employers didn't want those of us whom knew the old keyline/pasteup/whiteboard/light table-photo darkroom "manual methods" of processing - they wanted those knowledgeable in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Quark, all (new at that time) computer-based creative software for the graphics industry... Since I had been attending college and art school part time for a few years (early 80s), I was also able to apprentice as a machinist during that time which not only paid my college tuition (which was cheap back then), but gave me something stable to fall back on, should I need it - which I eventually did...

To make a long story short, my machining occupation got offshored in the early 00's, and I found myself back in the realm of art - this time via computer... I took a few courses at local community colleges and graduated with an associates in Multimedia Design... That completed, I did some part time freelance graphic design, website design/website maintenance, commercial art projects, a seasonal stint as a sign maker at an amusement park, and even some fantasy art commissions, all while working jobs in retail, office temp positions, painting and prep work on relatives' rental properties, cleaning, etc - whatever I could do to generate revenue...In 2015 I underwent a partial amputation of my left foot and could no longer spend all that time working on my feet, so I went on disability, and have been living that way ever since... However, I have never given up my passion for art and design....If anything, I create because my art is my therapy...I don't know where I would be without it!
