Civil Resistance Stamp by Jhas777 Civil Resistance Stamp by Jhas777
Simple: We will not hesitate.

"First they ignore you
Then they laugh at you
Then they fight you
then you win"
-Mahatma Gandhi

Civil resistance is a type of non-violent action. It involves a range of widespread and sustained activities against a particular power, force, policy or regime hence the term 'resistance'. The adjective 'civil' in this context denotes that which pertains to a citizen or society (often implying that a movement's goals are 'civil' in the sense of being widely shared in a society), and also that which is peaceful, polite, non-military or non-violent in character.

Love this! Being posi's all right, but it won't change anything. But on the other end of the spectrum, acting like some tough guy and forming gangs and physically hurting or even killing people isn't the way to go either since it makes the person using violence means as bad as the oppressor.

Why an active anarchist symbol such as a red star on a black flag, then?

Should I have used a white flag?... there is no passive anarchy symbol that I know of. Please let me know, I'm puzzled.

Well, you could go without the red star, often associated with communist and socialist revolutionariness that never quite ended in the Marxist ideal of the last stage of society, the absence of State. So you could go with a plain black flag. Why?

The black flag, and the color black in general, have been associated with anarchy since the 1880s. Many anarchist groups contain the word "black" in their names. There have been a number of anarchist periodicals titled Black Flag[citation needed].

The uniform blackness of this flag is representative of the negation of all oppressive structures.[citation needed] A plain black flag is almost an anti-flag (colourful flags being the usual symbols for nation states). Additionally, a white flag is the universal symbol for surrender to superior force – thus a black flag can be viewed as the polar opposite of surrender.

The black flag represents the absence of a flag, and thus stands in opposition to the very notion of nation-states and hierarchical institutions. In that light, the flag can be seen as a rejection of the concept of representation, or the idea that any person or institution can adequately represent a group of individuals.
Modern anarchism has a shared ancestry with - among other ideologies such as liberalism - socialism, a movement strongly associated with the red flag. As anarchism became more and more distinct from socialism in the 1880s, it adopted the black flag in an attempt to differentiate itself. Some anarchists at the time, such as Peter Kropotkin, preferred to continue using the red flag rather than adopt the black.

there you go...
