Don't know how long we have until DA changes its look for good. I gotta say, I've had lots of great memories here on DA...both good and bad. Mostly good. And it's all thanks to you guys. I've met some pretty incredible people here. And although a lot of you followed me for my Loud House content, I hope you enjoy my original works too. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not quitting DA. Not by a long shot. I'm just gonna miss this format that I've enjoyed for like nine years.
It'll take some time getting used to the Eclipse look, but it was bound to happen. Stay strong, DA friends!
I was in fourth grade when I first created Jeff. I guess he’s a caricature of me, but I tend to put a bit of myself in most of my main characters. A year later, I created Taylor—who isn’t based on anyone I knew, he’s 100% fictional. I made different books with the boys going on different adventures. Like going to another dimension and finding treasure in New York City back when I called the series, “Two Big Idiots”. They were random and fun, but it lacked supporting characters.
November 16, 2004. That’s the date where I decided to put the boys in an official series, simply
Happy 2020, guys! I know we're 22 days in, but whatever. In case you're wondering, I'm feeling much better than I've been for the last two months. I'm out of that emotional rut...for the most part. I mean, I had some negative feelings yesterday, but it's normal to have a slip up here and there. Taking Vitamin D pills really helps to fight sadness.
Well as for my art, you've probably noticed I've been uploading more monsters and strange "fantasy" drawings. Just wanted to draw stuff out of my comfort zone and show that I'm versatile on my ideas. The 'Jeff & Taylor' comic is my baby, of course, but I got other cool ideas to showcase
Well well well. It's been a long time since I wrote a journal entry. This holiday season wasn't the best for me. I'm in a bit of an emotional rut, but I'll dig myself out as soon as the new decade hits. I won't do my yearly highlights, but I will show you my favorite works of the 2010's! I'm not perfect, but I'm getting better and better each year. May you guys have a happy 2020~
Wow. Been a while since I last wrote a journal entry. Okay, firstly I wan't to apologize again for uploading that commission of Lynn about to be thrown into the lions. It was what it was, and we can all get past it. It was a commission and I really can't decline any since my art is now my only source of income. Will I get a job? Maybe. It all depends on what's available and how fast I can learn Adobe Illustrator.
Ugh. I also feel like I can never catch up or get a big break with my art and original works. Seems like I'm stuck in life again. I'll keep trying though. Thank you guys for your support for all these years (or months...or
Yes, I'm back online in my new apartment in Helena! Can't wait to show you a bunch of new art! And I'll be freelancing too! Commissions open on July first, so please hire me to draw up something nice for you! :D
Great to be back,
Hey folks! It's just about time for me to leave the state and move to Montana to start a new life! Or at least revitalize my art. Settling in a new place can be tedious, so you won't hear from me in a few weeks. In the meantime, please spread the word about JFM Studios and "Jeff & Taylor". The plan is working for myself for a while to test the waters. So commissions will be open again on July 1st! Well, wish me luck, guys! And I appreciate all of you following me and loving my work.
Hi guys! Boy, it's the first Journal entry of 2019 and we're like five months in. How have you guys been? Me? Well, I'm busy. Not only am I working on issue 15 of my comic series, but I'm getting ready to move to Montana on May 31st. I'll officially stay there starting June 5th. So between the 5th and 30th of June, I'll be setting things up, getting used to things, and prepare before I'll "return" online on July 1st. I will be working for myself, so commissions will be open for the rest of the year!
And because I have all the time in the world, you'll see a lot more art from me! Especially my Loud House fanart! And I know you guys love those
Hello, folks! JFM Here to write out the last journal entry of the year. And lemme tell ya, this year was a mixed bag. Full of nuts and bolts. When it started with Logan Paul being a dick in Japan and a mass shooting, I had a funny feeling about this year. And yes, terrible things do happen every year, so I can't really blame 2018 for bringing such depressing news, you know? So I'll just focus on the highlights of my life that happened this year:
Finished my very first animatic of the "Jeff & Taylor" intro. (If it was an Anime)Enjoyed The Evil Within 2Uploaded about 50 J&T Quickies this year alone. (A new record)Enjoyed Far Cry 5Paid
Hello folks! December is here and you know what THAT means...CHRISTMAS! HAHAHAHA! Okay, so I'm working on some Christmas-themed drawings this month not to mention I opened up commissions again. I will close them in January though. So yeah, not much else to say other than I'll try to be more active this time around with new art. I also plan to start working on J&T quickies 201-220 this month too. So I'll be keeping myself busy--I haven't even gone Christmas shopping yet. Yikes! I just reminded myself. Crap. Ah, well. Things always work out in the end. So I won't sweat it too much. So yeah, Here's hoping that your holidays will be great!
Yes, I will be working on super fun and cool illustrations on my Youtube live stream on November 24th to promote my Patreon! It’s time to get serious! If I want to start working for myself next year, then I gotta have a strong start with my Patreon backers. I’d like to gain 20 backers that day. That is the goal! I’m excited for this stream and I hope to see you there! :D
If you’d like to be a patron now, you’re more than welcome to be!
I did it! Jeff & Taylor Quickies #2 is complete and copies are on my way! Hopefully I'll get them before November 9th, because that's when PopCon starts. It's a local video game and pop culture convention held every year at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and this year will be my last. PopCon 2014 was the very first time I've ever sold my stuff at a table at it was a blast, but since I'll be moving next year, going back to Fairbanks for that con will be pointless.
Right now, I'm focused on finishing up commissions and preparing for PopCon. I might close commissions on November though. Cuz I got a little video project to work on. Unti
