F15 by Jetta-Windstar F15 by Jetta-Windstar
I'm pretty sure it's an F16...yeah...The F16 and F15 are hard to tell apart.

Taken 4th of July, 2010 at Lake Hood in Anchorage, Alaska.

This one is an F-15. It's an 'A' model that was used as a ground instruction trainer before appearing at the Museum.

ah okay, thanks for letting me know, I shall fix the title. The F15 and F16 really are hard to tell a part i think. Yeah i remember hearing a bit about the F16's history. The museum got lucky to obtain it if I remember right.

To tell them apart there are a couple of major features to look out for.

1) Tail fins: F-15 has two, F-16 just one.
2) Engine intakes: The F-15 has two intakes, one either side of the fuselage; F-16's single intake is under the fuselage.

Hope this helps :)

Oh right!! It's not started yet over here, we've only had just one frosty night so far too! Fingers crossed for some clear weather over the holidays!
