The first thing I think I should say in this entry is that from now on, I'm going to be spending more of my spare time working on my Hi-Detail King Liger concept. Up to now, I've been spending more time on a Star Trek registry database, where I should have been spending it drawing instead. I've loved working on this database, it's very relaxing for me, but I also think that I have been far too complacent in developing my drawing skills, and that will prevent me from using them in the very competitive career field. Now, the thing that brought this about has a pretty lengthy explanation, and it starts with both Jetfreak-7 and this other DeviantArt member named XCVBatag. He did not agree with my attempt to correct another member regarding the class name of one of DJ Curtis's designs called the Sun Tzu class, often called the Athena class. "bruh this is hands down the nerdiest Trek comment I've seen LMAO Let people name their own stuff for god's sake, no wonder the fandom's in

The Hydra class used in this chapter was used with the permission of Bernd Schneider, and my thanks goes out to him. Same for Sean Tourangeau's Badger and Olympus class class and Greg MacDonald's Pulsar class. The America class is an old design from something called Entente Systems. You will be seeing her in the future, as well as the Olympus class. The Scorpion class is an old Andrew J. Hodges design. Thank you for collecting me! ^_^

Thank you for being here to collect! It's great to see that you're still active!

Trying to be! My WIP is the hardest thing I've ever done, and it has been a serious struggle.

Let me guess: life is making it hard to find the time to get it done. If so, I know the feeling.

I'm not on here very often, and I don't keep up with everything that happens on DevArt. Other than posting artwork, it is only an occasional indulgence, because when it becomes more than occasional, I end up working a lot less on artwork.

So you can imagine my surprise when I found out that HandofManos discontinued his account. HandofManos has been a long time member since before I joined, and I and many other DevArt members have enjoyed his vector artwork for a very long time, and is one of the reasons I've been trying to get back into Illustrator/Photoshop in the first place.

As he explains in his last Journal entry

He was suffering from the number one bane of any artist: burnout and lack of time. Not liking how this site was the final straw, I guess.

I still wish that I had known ahead of time, so I could leave one last comment. Or that he could have left his work up, so that we could continue to enjoy it. His artwork still shows up in my favorites, but who knows if he instructed the site to leave it up (which I hope), or if it's just a temporary reprieve.

Unfortunately, my laptop isn't very heavy in the memory department, so I'm going to have to leave his suggestion to download and save his art to someone who does.

I hate the changes they made to Adobe. You need to log on, as opposed to just opening the program. But the account is shared with my dad, in his name. I failed to log in earlier, since I didn't want to do so during dinner. And now he won't send me a code this time, so I can't work on my Excelsior Blended Wing design tonight. And I have a lot of work to do on her, before the next WIP is even close to ready.

Happy Birthday
