Background:
Growing up Iris was always the quiet twin, making it very hard for her to make friends. It didn't help that her twin sister Lily was alwasy causing trouble and letting Iris take the blame.

After their parents died in a car crash the twins were left to live with their grandparents. It was during this time that their powers activated. Shortly after this Lily decided that they should become super villians. Iris was not very enthusiastic about this but eventually relented.

After hearing about the small group of teenage superheros Lily decided it would be fun to destroy The Team. Her plan is to have Iris start up and lead a group of other supervillians while Lily joined The Team as a double agent.

In order to keep her identity as Lily's sister a secret when as Yang she creates a mask of shadows to hide her face, and Lily tells everyone that she doesn't know who Yang is only that her and Yang have been running into each other since her powers appeared.

A couple months after moving to Happy Harbor Lily talks Iris into getting a tattoo with her. At the tattoo parlor they meet Jonah and Rebekah King. Jonah gives Iris her black devil wings tattoo but something strange happens during the process. His ability and hers meld together creating a purplish color to the wings and eventually allowing her wings to become real.

Since that day Iris has become close friends with Rebekah and Jonah, and eventually her and Jonah start dating.
