The chefs paw padded softly up the stairs from the galley to the main deck. Atop the stairs she was greeted to the smell of tobacco mixing with the ruckus sounds of the crew as they sang songs of the partners they’ve met in port. With a little huff the chef pushed her way into the throng of dance and song. She wasn’t much higher than a hip on most of the crew, but she expertly protected her tray as she went. She had never felt much kinship with the crew. Its not that they disliked her, or her them. She quite liked to listen to the daring stories they told each other as she served dinner. But she didn’t have any stories like that. All she had to offer was bread and soup. She liked the quiet of her galley, clashing swords wouldn’t excite her the way it did them. The only blade she wanted to wield was her butcher's cleaver. And their Captain was the most fierce of the crew. She was The Red Star of the Sea. They say that no one could best her in blade or bed.
