I really didn't feel like renewing my deviant art subscription, so after about 7 years off and on here, I think I'm finally done.
If you're interested in it, you can find my personal tumblr at sassmasterjessie.tumblr.com or my photography tumblr at orangegrovestocherryblossoms.tumblr.com

It's been a nice run.
Okay well now that I'm done being upset over all of my irl problems I'm going to try to get back into the grove of adding things on here weekly/bi-weekly. Oh, and my birthday is next month so -keeping fingers crossed- I should be getting a new tablet and photoshop for the iMac sometime next month, Until then I downloaded a free trial of photoshop so I'm going through all of my stuff as fast as I can to get them resized for here. Yeah.
Well. This has always been my second least favorite month of the year, and it's sticking to its usual shitty self by making me mark the death of another person extremely close to me on the calendar. So, bye Grandpa. I'll miss you and one day I'll take a trip to Alaska for the both of us.

In other news, I cancelled my automatic rebilling on this site because I'm probably going to move on to either flickr or tumblr...somewhere I can get some feedback.

Yeah.
Well, I finally made it to our newest home in Maryland, and in less than a week I was greeted by snow, with more snow to come tonight and tomorrow. c:
I really haven't taken any worthy of posting photos (save for a few blooming flowers back at my parents house in Florida), but I'm sifting through old ones right now. Also, I still haven't unpacked my tablet, and I really haven't had the urge to draw anything because I feel that aside from one really great close friend, I don't have anyone to talk about art with.
The photography will keep on coming though, because *fingers crossed* I'll have my Macbook at tax return time.

Anyways, Happy Belated New Year and here's to a more productive one!

Another month of being less active than I'd care to be, but we had some unexpected delays last month which have kept us in California until next month. I'm still lacking a computer to edit my photo's on, but I have a few things ready to upload in a few minutes. Maybe.
Anyways, the next 3-4 months are going to be busy ones, but hopefully things go the way they should, and if they do I'll have a new Macbook Pro in March. :)

Happy Holidays, guys! Thanks for sticking around!

I would be complaining about how I have to either pay to have my whole hard drive of my Macbook replaced, but my husband and I came to the agreement that I can eventually get photoshop to use on his iMac and in the mean time around our anniversary/christmas time I can get an iPad and one of those cool Wacom styli so I can use one of the drawing apps and draw that way. But yeah, October is a busy busy month for us. We don't have more than 3 free days, because we only have about 2 weeks until we move cross-country. So yeah. Hopefully soon I'll be back to drawing and photography. Happy October, y'all.

Since my Mac took a giant heaping poop and won't even turn on anymore, I'm stuck using my husbands, but his doesn't have any art programs on it so I can't even resize any of my images so fml guys, looks like I'll be stuck being even more inactive.

I was a little less inactive than I wanted to be last month, but that comes from just me being lazy. We spent three whole weekends away from the house without wifi, so I'm going to use that as my excuse for not uploading any photography, but in reality I just need to invest in some lenses for my camera, because I've been pretty disappointed in my results. Oh well, here's to my last full month in living in California!

San Francisco was pretty ballin, if I do say so myself. Even though parking was a monster, and we had to walk almost 2 miles from where we parked to get to the Golden Gate Bridge, it was a nice change of scenery. I hope I can go back before we leave here.

This month seems like it's going to be super busy for me still, but if everything goes as planned we're going to San Francisco for the first time on Saturday!

And then we're heading down south again at the end of the month for one last time before we gtfo of this state.

July has been another fairly inactive month for me photography wise, but I've been trying my hardest lately to get back into drawing and writing, which has been fairly successful because I've written a nice little portion of a story that had been a head-child of mine for a good 8 years and I've been doing a lot of work with charcoal again, which may or may not find it's way to my scanner.

Photography wise, I'm going to go through the pits of my folders to see if I have any gems worth sharing, but then next Monday I'll have plenty of new stuff to share because we're going on a staycation about 2 hours south, and then I'm going mini golfing the weekend after that.

Here's to a busy next month!

Well, last month I didn't accomplish much of anything, due to me being too sick to move for two weeks, and then we had a few picnics to go to, and we had our first cookout at our house. We didn't even make it to the aquarium last month, which was pretty disappointing and my camera has been crying to be used, BUT THE WEATHER IS ALWAYS SO YUCK. Ugh. Joey's aunt and uncle are in town though, and in an hour or so they're coming to pick me up so we can explore together AND so we can go to the aquarium later.

To do monthly updates so that my journal section isn't s stagnant as it's been recently. I say monthly because it's more realistic than trying to update weekly, because being an adult sucks and I always have things to do any worry about.
But yeah. In this month my goal is to get out of the house more, if the weather around here ever stops being so crappy. I also have lots of plans to go to the aquarium more often, as well as hit up the beach and the Ranch. ALSO!!!Also, I wanna be able to go to Santa Cruz, which would be really fun to try some night time photography for the first time having a camera that is so lovely and responsive and such. So yeah. HAPPY JUNE.

Okay, I promised a journal about a month ago as an introduction to who I am, but I have had a little bit of a rough month (finding out that I'm allergic to some sort of critter that stung me on the finger, getting some sort of terrible flu that kept me and my husband quarantined for a week, and my puppy got sand colic from eating mulch in our back yard), but all of the personal ramblings aside...

HI! I'm Jessie. I turned 20 years old last month. I live in California with my husband Joey and our German Shepherd puppy Anya. Joey is in the Navy, and goes to the Language school out here, so we'll be in California for quite a while.
My whole family lives in Florida, and I am proudly a Disney child. Until I moved out here to be with my husband, I never lived further than 30 minutes away from Disney.
I graduated high school in 2010, and literally 2 days after that I went to work in the plastics manufacturing plant my dad manages as a quality control specialist and machine operator. I made crates for big companies like Pepsi and Coke, as well as recycle bins and trash cans (seriously, check the bottom of your recycle bin or on the side of your trash can closest to the hinges! If it say's Rehrig Pacific Co, there's a chance that I made sure it was okay to ship out!).
Last year, I picked up a second job as an attractions attendant at Islands of Adventure. A note to all of you who plan on vacationing there: Please be nice to the attractions attendants. It's not our fault that we can't always seat large parties on the same ride cart. I left my job there after the second elderly lady decided to take her frustrations out on me and hit me, and then her daughter proceeded to spit on me. It's not my fault that I can't put a party of seven on a cart only rated for six people. Jeez!
Most importantly, I'm an artist. Not a very well accomplished one, or a very good one at that, but I try, because art is relaxing to me. I spent one year at Davenport School of the Arts (with the wonderful Penguin-cookie), and it was probably my most memorable school year after senior year. I have this huge passion for photography, but I'm still learning and experimenting. I'm even thinking about getting a part time job to pay for new lenses for my Nikon, as well as getting a new Macbook (mine's about 2 years old now) to advance myself.

But yeah, that's me. I'm very friendly, and I'm a pretty open person, and I love giving feedback if you need it/want it, so please don't be shy. I LOVE FRIENDS!

I'm not new to deviantArt (in fact, my previous account was I think 2 years old). But yeah. Better journal tomorrow yay.
