I fully admit, I didn't believe it would acutally happen. I thought that Deviantart would fail, or reset my numbers, or that'd I'd have left before this happened.
This gallery originally started as just a little place to stick my bad fanart jokes when my first gallery collapsed under the weight of its banner ads back in 2003. Now, I get more hits per day here than I do on my webcomic, and have become infamous in at least one fandom due to my bad jokes and rallying cries of 'shipperdom. Why do I take to Deviantart so well? Maybe because no one's mistaken me for a guy. (British, yes. Male? Thankfully, no).
When I got here on deviantart, I mainly stuck to those I had known before joining, who had coaxed me into getting a gallery- some of them have moved on to better, greater things (like their own comics and animation gigs) or have abandoned galleries due to the real world (editor positions or eHarmony.com- don't ask).
But two people in particular deserve a really big thank you for helping me get this far:

I have to say I can't even remember exactly how we met, each of us living in a different country and all, but I doubt I would have gotten half as many pageviews without them.
when I joined, I was a sophmore in college; now I have a Masters degree in Museum Education and still act like an 8 year old on crack.
Ok, enough with the mushy stuff. Yes, this is the only way I could do this without repeating the joke of 5,000- I fully admit, I seem to do better when the clothing comes off. And no complaining, you brought this on yourselves.
