Actually, yes - but I was trying to come up with a design to use real off-the-shelf batteries and light bulbs without looking too bulky. So far no luck. The major problem is fitting batteries into something the size of a ring. Hearing aid batteries are too thick and most watch batteries have diameters that are to big. Another problem is that LEDs tend to be too tall, expecially when considering the leads. Rice grain bulbs would work, but they cost more. I don't know if I'd consider it worthwhile to make a ring that didn't light up. It's a lot of money to make something that's not functionally any different than what DC Comics gave away for free awhile back.

Is EL Wire fine enough to integrate into a ring? Can a faraday cage be integrated into a ring?
