Once upon a time there was a bar in Manhattan,on 9th street just off of Avenue A in Greenwich Village called the Aztec Lounge. It was a dark Punker Bar and I used to hang out there with my sketchbooks, until the owner asked me to paint a mural for him. No pay per se,just booze as I painted and occasional art supplies. I attempted it,but since I had a night job too at the supermarket I could only paint a few days at a time, and when I was away too long the Punks would draw on my artwork,as you see. So I gave up,and only these few Polaroids exist of it.
