Shooting with my mate John, he told me to take a Pano, so I did, each shot is between 30-55 secs, they varied so much cause we were talking and I forgot about it so many times =P...

So here you have it, a very poorly stiched Panorama of my home town Canberra from a viewpoint far from my place in the City ;)

Special thanks to John (~johnduck) for the idea and the trip :D

As an ex-Canberran, I think this is an amazing shot. I can't work out where it's taken from--certainly not Mount Ainslie, but can't figure out where.

I think you captured the spirit of Canberra beautifully in this. The silhouette-like foreground is a nice contrast to the neon in the background, and the use of a person standing there really helps bring out the feel of the picture somehow. Anyhow, I love this.

So beautiful. That place had its quirks, but it was a great place to grow up. One of these day, I'm going to go back for a visit.

Wow, where is that? It looks kinda like the view you get coming down Mt. Stromlo, but that's just the general valley-of-lights effect you get on most mountains at night. Well done :)

ty ty :) it is such a cool view from that mountain.. and a very entertaining walk past bucket loads of roos! lol

It made me go look for my Red Hill panorama over the lake, but I can only find a tiny printed version of it :(
Ah, yes, the roos. They're nice to watch at sunset.

 Just wanted to let you know I've featured this in my journal, "4 Things Feature" [link] :)

This is so similar to the first ever view of Canberra I had, and I loved it at first sight. We came in over the mountains, very close to dawn, from Melbourne, and I remember Canberra looking like a big beautiful bowl of lights. Just like this photo. It's so spectacular.
