Hello, friends! A quick intermission away from my crazy work schedule to show you a piece I did for the upcoming (opening tomorrow!) Ltd. Gallery Game of Thrones exhibit that's focused on interpretation of the characters as they are presented in the books, rather than the HBO show.
Longtime followers of mine will understand that I was pretty much ecstatic when asked to participate since I've been a fan of the series for more than 16 years now. Though Dany isn't my favourite character, I've had such a strong image of her in my mind for SO long... this was a perfect excuse to let it out on "paper". Making this felt very much like a sigh of relief...!
The other art looks fantastic -you should check it out at their website where prints are also available - and if you live in Seattle, the grand opening is March 1st 2014 (tomorrow!) and should definitely be worth going to!
Thanks to James Monosmith at Ltd. Gallery for putting the exhibit together, and of course, infinite thanks to George R. R. Martin for being such an incredible inspiration for me in my formative years.

This is literally the best Daenerys I've ever seen. I imagined her MUCH more like this than in the current series. For me Emilia Clarke is not right for the role. Daenerys is fragile, wild, ice cold and hot at the same time, feminine and straight forward. This drawing is so intense, I'm amazed by how much you matched my imagination of her.
