Thank you. Not sure if you got my message, my iPad has gone wrong and is doing all sorts of weird stuff, shuffling pictures and swapping titles, I appear to have favourited one of my own!!!!  Did this on water colour paper, all I have. Going shopping tomorrow for pencils (thank you) and paper - any suggestions?

Loving the darker tones too and on that textured surface, is it a canvas?

Thank you smiley, must admit I got in a bit of bother with this, started off all wrong. It is on water colour textured paper, all I have at the moment. I am going shopping tomorrow for pencils ( 6 plus on advice!) and paper. Any suggestions?

No...whatever takes ur fancy. Experiment with different textured surfaces with different mediums. For me, Art has no rules or restrictions, as browsing this site has confirmed. Ur paintings along with others are inspiring me to to take up colour...something I've yet to do...I'm building up courage so will be asking ur advice on that soon!

OMG - do not ask me for advice - I am fumbling in the dark and making it up as I go along, however I do know that with your attitude and skill you will be great. Look forward to seeing your creations.

That's why you are my perfect teacher in colour. As you fumble in the dark you clear a path for me!

Truly, I haven't got a clue what I am doing, if something turns out okay I think it is a happy accident and I have no idea how I got there! However if I can shine a light I will, although it may be a very weak candle.

But that's just it, Art mirrors life and we all fumble through life hoping things turn out okay. So I'm sure you'll give good advice.
