Hansel and Gretal by Jennyben Hansel and Gretal by Jennyben
First attempt at ink and watercolour inspired by original artwork, I don't know the name of the artist.  Very apprehensive about using ink and I know it could be much better. May have another attempt at some point

Thank you, I was ridiculously pleased with this, I don't know why, maybe because it reminded me of the story books I had as a child, also because it was my first attempt at using ink. The left hand side is far too dark compared to the right, I should have looked at the who le picture more instead of concentrating exclusively on what I was doing. How many times have you told me to take time out, walk away then take a fresh look?!!!!

I love that you're ridiculusly pleased with it and so you should be! Hold on to that feeling and let go of the analysis. There's always the next picture to apply what you've learned from this one!
