Hello all, here's a rather jam packed update from me!

Bug-I have the kitty patterned out. Need to prototype it and make any necessary tweaks to the pattern, and then your little tuxie boy will be sewn as part of my "how to change patterns for markings" lesson.

Jake-I need to get posterboard to make your pattern on, and I will be making a basic dog+your guy to show altering with faux fur as well. :D

--If you want a plush featured in the classes, I am still taking discount commissions! PLEASE NOTE: The process of making them will be publicly documented and shared for educational purposes. Your character/design will remain yours and you will still get your plush, but these will take a bit longer since I will be documenting the entire process.

SO, yep there's a little bit of waiting involved for both of these. Luckily, I should be able to get posterboard on Wednesday, and then I have to do some pattern testing (let me know if any of you want to test a beginner/intermediate/advanced sewing pattern! I'll send you a copy, you just have to make the plush according to pattern and give feedback and a pic or two!) and research into making PDFs and then the classes will begin!

ALSO premades: I need to make several for this class, to show off patterns and different techniques and such. These plushies will be for sale, would it be better for me to list them up before classes begin, as I go, or afterwards? Classes are free, and there will be free patterns shared, but I will also have a couple for sale and would like to sell some of the plushies made as well. I will also be making props!

ANOTHER QUESTION: Would you all like it if I put premades up in Etsy? I still have lots of leftovers from when I did a lot of craft shows, and maybe having a set shop would be better for those wishing to buy something from me. Please let me know!

By the way, doctor visit on the 12th. Hopefully good news, this is the big one where they discuss what treatments I will be getting. <3
Okay, so I have written out a lesson plan for the plush building/sewing tutorials.

What sort of plushies should I be making for the tutorials? I'd like to either have them be commissioned or for sale afterwards, to help offset the time put into making the lessons.

Maybe some dogs/wolves? Big cats? Dragons? I have no idea, haha.
The past month has been rough, with lots of stress and pressures triggering both my medical and mental issues. As it stands now, I need to step completely back.

I will be focusing on my plushies and props. The account will be cleaned up and I am going to start taking measures to have nicer photos to upload. I have been spending too much time with digital art, and not enough time streamlining my sewing process. I believe I can improve my turnaround time further, as well as sourcing some nicer materials for higher quality. I also have many ideas in development for future plushies, including having plush-scale resin parts made and casting custom safety eyes for more variety.

I am also working on getting everything together for the tutorials. I am developing some patterns that I will hand out to a few non-sewing friends to test, and I am currently making a list of topics I wish to cover. If you have any requests for specific lessons, please let me know!

I will still be contact-able on this page, and I will still fave+comment and chat with people! Commissions and trades are not affected by this at all, I am just striving to present a more professional image and portfolio. If you want to hang out and chitterchat, feel free to ask for my Skype/gamertag/Facebook info as well.

I will -not- be attending any furry cons this year, and I am not and may never be interested in purchasing/trading for a fursuit. I am tired of being pressured to do so. My husband does not like them, and I respect him and will honor his wish. I will no longer be nice on these topics.

My internal issues have progressed to the point of needing to see a specialist for the specific organs affected. Diet and exercise have not improved or maintained my condition enough, it's possible I will need therapy or medications for it as well. This is heartbreaking news, as I have done so much to prevent this from worsening.
I'd like to buy my husband a nice birthday present so any and all commissions are open! Digital art, traditional art, plushies, etc!
Shoot me a comment or note with what you'd like, and I'll get a quote sent out to you ASAP.

Also, would you all prefer I make a base chart for commission prices? I usually do them all privately, since I factor in several things (size, material used, complexity, etc.) when I make a quote, but I could probably make a basic chart with "add-ons" and such.
Would anyone like me to do a set of tutorials on how to make a stuffed animal? Like, from pattern drafting all the way to embellishments?
Once in a while someone will tell me, "Wow, that's so great. I could never do that from scratch!" and I'd love to teach them that they sure can!

I did some browsing around and saw lots of tutorials, so I know they are out there. I was just wondering if y'all would like a set that are from me specifically.

ALSO, should I make and sell some patterns? Like generic dog, cat, dragon, stuff like that?
Wanted: Digital art and STUFF <3
Offering: PLUSHIES and possibly STUFF

Feel free to message me and inquire, the worst I'll say is no. <3

Sorry for the inactivity lately, I've been doing a lot of work out in the yard getting it ready for a garden! :D
Holy crap, this last month has been a waking nightmare for the most part.
First off, I would like to extend a giant hug of gratitude to my commissioners for being so understanding. I've had to take the place of three people recently, and sadly had to delay their commissions. I will sit down tonight and come up with a work/housework schedule that will still allow me at least 5 hours of worktime a day so I will not get this far behind again. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 I will be in touch with you lovelies later to discuss your commissions and get a new timeframe hammered out.

GRAMMA: She is home and doing really well. She can stand on her good leg for 2+ minutes, and her physical therapists are very impressed with the progress she's made with the broken one. She should be able to start walking with a walker in 6 weeks or so. She's even able to do a little cooking, with some help. We were able to sit down and figure out why we didn't get along (personality conflict mostly, since I tend to be quite blunt) and we have gotten a lot done since she's been home.

GRAMPA: went into the hospital last night with pneumonia on his left lung. He had a fever of 104F, and is very dehydrated/malnourished. Protip: if you think a relative is sick, take them in even if they refuse. He could have died. :( I will have to keep an eye on him to make sure he eats instead of throwing the food away in the future, I know he won't like it but I don't want to lose him. He's currently fighting the fever and has two strains of flu at the same time (likely caught from me since I didn't realize I was sick at first).

ME: I ended up with a second strain of flu this past week. I thought at first I was getting pneumonia and went into the doctor, he said that I managed to get two of the strains going around that the flu shot didn't cover. WOOPS, gotta keep an eye on gramma now to make sure she doesn't end up sick! I have kept away from my work, and once my fever broke I went through the house and disinfected EVERYTHING.

HOUSE: Looks like we'll be able to keep it after all! Got a lot of fancy-shmancy legalese stuff to smooth out, but everything will be transferred to my husband over the year so we can pay the bills and the grandparents will be able to pay down their medical debts. So yay for house, boo for having absolutely no money. Still, scrimping and saving where we can beats being homeless anyday.

COMMISSIONS: I will be taking them in VERY LIMITED SLOTS, possibly 4+times this year. More information will be posted as I get it worked out with my husband.

ETSY SHOP: I will be opening a premade plush/pincushion shop as soon as I get my queue down and a bit of stock built up. Name and link will be provided when I get there.

WORKSPACE: Over Christmas break, when I was sick, I made a separate workspace for myself in the den. I have a lovely little sewing table and have put each of my current projects in a stacking box to keep everything organized. I need to clean Christmas stuff off of the table (I was up making presents until the last possible second, woops) and I will have a photo for you all soon. It's small compared to my old worktable, and farther away from the computer, but I will make it work. Maybe I'll even set up a computer stand and turn the laptop into a work computer, we shall see. :)

KITTY: Sheik has fully healed from her spay with no complications. :D I'm very happy that my wee biscuit is doing so well, and proud of her for learning her limitations right away so I didn't have to babysit her 24/7 over Christmas break. She's still tiring a bit easier, but the vet said that that is also part of her growing into a cat and losing that kitten energy.
As I am not able to keep up with the legalities (especially regarding my disability and the needed time off) of self-employment, I will no longer be taking MONEY for plush work.
However, I will be more than willing to exchange GOODS in trade/barter for plush work. I can provide links to my Amazon/other store wishlist if asked for.

All current commissions are unaffected by this, as I have received full payment for them and have already started working.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however my health comes first and the stress of bookkeeping is too much for me. Please do not argue about this, the situation will not change. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you for reading this,

TO CLARIFY POINT #5, GENERIC ANIMAL PATTERNS ARE FREE. This is only for custom species or of drastic reworking to an existing pattern. A dog with simple custom markings will not cost extra, but a dog with extra legs/tails/etc. will. I will let you know what may cost more when I send a quote.

Read these terms ALL THE WAY THROUGH please. The information contained here is extremely important!

1. A Deposit is required to be put on the commission queue. This deposit is for 30% of the item. Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE. I accept PayPal (no E-checks), Personal Checks and Money orders. The commission is not added to the queue until the money clears in the bank, however. PayPal is preferred, and put it under the category 'payment for goods'. I will send to the address in the Paypal account unless you EMAIL me first to discuss a different shipping address.

2. Deadlines: If you have a deadline, include it in the commission request or within the first two emails to me. If it is unreasonable, I will have to refuse the commission. If the deadline needs to change, please let me know as soon as possible, I may have to cancel the commission if it is too close. I will let you know a reasonable time frame for item completion when I send the quote. I will no longer be offering hard deadlines without being asked to. If you have a deadline you need your plush by, please let me know when you commission it!
I've been fighting with wrist pain, so I'd rather not overdo it by trying to rush work without a need to. Not trying to be mean, just need to slow down a little bit.

3. Copyright: I will not make copyrighted characters. The only instances where I will are if you are the personal owner of the character and can prove it to me. I can make similar designs (a salamander-style dragon, for instance) but I will not make you a plush of Toothless. The exception is for won "adoptable" characters with the permission of the maker. If you wish, I will contact the maker (through private messages or emails) to ask permission for you.

4. You need to be 18 or older to order from me. Alternatively, have an adult aged 18 or older order for you.

5. New designs: I can create a new pattern for a small ($10) fee. This includes a concept, drafting the pattern, and building a prototype of the pattern. This pattern is then mine to use however I like. You can choose which pattern I use to make the item, but please remember, I make all of my own patterns, I do not buy or use patterns made by other people. If you provide a concept sketch, I will make a pattern of it for my use. This pattern is my property and I may reproduce it however I wish. You must agree to this before I will create a custom pattern. I will not duplicate exact markings or designs without permission from the original owner.
I do not sell my patterns or give permission for anything made from my patterns to be reproduced by anyone else.
These designs are not eligible for returns or refunds.

6. Shipping: I ship via UPS or USPS with delivery confirmation. Insurance may be added, at an extra cost. Shipping costs are determined at time of shipping; I cannot give out shipping quotes ahead of time, only estimates. Estimates may be different than actual costs. International shipping is determined on a case by case basis.

7. Returns and Refunds: Down Payments are NON REFUNDABLE (see 1). If you want or need a return due to damage or any other reason, I need the following things emailed to me.
       1. Reason for the return.
       2. Photograph of item to show condition.
       3. If the item arrived damaged, a photograph of the packaging and shipping container.
If you wish to receive a refund, I NEED the item shipped back to me. You will receive the refund minus shipping cost.
Exchanges work the same way, I will exchange the product with a new, undamaged one when I receive the original. If you receive an exchange, you will not receive a refund.
Certain custom items are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.
Return authorizations are at my sole discretion, and I reserve the right to deny a return at any time, for         any reason.
Repairs: If an item is damaged (popped seams, etc) you can return it to me for repair. The only cost to you is shipping the item to me and for me to ship it back once repaired.

8. When you purchase an item from me, you are entering into a contract with me. You are allowed to own the character, but the work on it is mine. Do not alter the work, if it is damaged you can send it back to me for repairs, for the cost of shipping. If you alter my work (adding details, markings, etc.) and post images of it online, please state which changes you have made to the original. This helps clear any confusion on details I offer for plushes. I do not offer adult details on plushies, nor do I alter premade or store-bought  plushies.

9. PAYMENT: I require full payment before I ship your item. If you cannot pay as soon as your plush is finished, email me to work something out. I take payment plans for anything over $50. All payments are in United States Dollars (USD). Payment plans can be made over several months, but the item will not be sent out if there is any outstanding payment due to me.

I've had a couple of people ask, so I thought I'd list a few things I'm willing to trade for. :) I'll update this with things as I go.

Items should be clean and from a smoke-free home. I am -allergic- to tobacco and other forms of smoke so I cannot be flexible on this.

This will be linked in my profile information so you can find it in the future. :)
Please note, the value must be equal for me to accept the trade. I accept money+item trades as well.
Feel free to offer anything you think I'd like, there's always the chance I didn't think to list something.
I hope this list is helpful to anyone who is interested in trading! I am one of those people who likes detailed lists, so hopefully this doesn't seem too picky!

Digital/traditional art (depends on if I like your art style)
Character designs (once in a great while)

D&D miniatures (Also Pathfinder and other brands)
Star Wars miniatures (why yes I am a major geek, why do you ask? :P )
Dice sets, especially stone ones! I have a small dice and miniatures collection that I love dearly.

Things I and my husband like:
Sci fi (Star wars/Star trek/Hitchhikers Guide are our favorites!)
Video game stuff (I can provide a list if asked)
Sims 3 stuff (I can provide a wishlist)
Top Gear

Things I am NOT looking for in trade, I will ask about these things if I want them:

Taxidermy items
NSFW stuff (feel free to offer, I do occasionally take NSFW things!)
Fursuit/costuming stuff, I will make some exceptions for certain cosplay stuff
