The shoes of the Doctor and Rose Tyler. Technically this is could be considered Doctor Who fanart. However, since it did not show the portraits of either figure, I thought it didn't necissarily have to be categorized as fanart.
This was done for juliet418 for Christmas.
Title: True Love is Timeless Medium: Acrylic on canvas board Size: Approx. 11 x 14 inches
There's also a song that goes with it titled, 'Ghost of a Rose' by Blackmore's Night.
Here are the lyrics that were written on the back:
she met her true love there, and she told him .
She would say:
' Promise me, when you see a white rose youll think of me, I love you so, never let go. I will be your ghost of a rose.'
Her eyes believed in mysteries.
****** Her spirit wild, heart of a child,
yet gentle still, and quiet and mild,
and he loved her, when she would say:
' Promise me, when you see, a white rose youll think of me, I love you so, never let go. I will be your ghost of a rose.'
When all was done,
she turned to run,
dancing right into the setting sun as he watched her.
he thought he saw,
a glimpse of her upon the rose forever,
he hear her say:
' Promise me when you see a white rose youll think of me, I love you so, never let go. I will be your ghost of a rose.'
Ghost of a rose
This song is just perfect for the Doctor and Rose.
Just a second, I need a spotting at Rose's shoes, since there's nothing else that identifies her. How do we/you/I know that those are her shoes? Episode or something? P.S.: Excuse the lame question. Before I read the description 3-4 names came randomly to my mind so the question came by itself Brilliant work, by the way (: I love the technique.
That's alright. There was an episode in season two, called The Idiot's lantern. That was her outfit and it was a still taken from the BBC website at the time (behind the scenes shots or something). At least I think it was, I actually found it on Google I think. Rose was originally wearing fishnets but I couldn't figure out how to paint them at the time. Still a bit disappointed about that.
