It scanned well, but JPG compression again washes out all the colors. I do like how she turned out, though - plus, now I can claim it as a mixed media piece! Nightmare Moon is done in inks, markers, and paint; the background is watercolor.

Oh, that's wonderful. I really like that inky blackness of her coat, and how it contrasts with her armor and her ethereal mane and tail.
If JPEG compression's giving you trouble, maybe a lossless format like PNG would be a better choice? DA supports that, too, and you'd not lose any detail.
