Messrs. Croup and Vandemar, ultra-dangerous denizens of Neil Gaiman's alternate London underground in his extremely excellent book "Neverwhere". Presented to all as my Halloween image this year. Happy Halloween, muahaha!

I know it has already been said like 138 times, but here's one more.

Great deciption of great villain characters. This is more or less how I pictured them while reading.
I dig the title as well.
Well done.

Definitely the closest rendition of these two... althought by default, I always imagined mr. Croup with a top-hat.
Extremely well done, nonotheless. :)

Wow, I read this book a long time ago and instantly recognized them. I knew it was these characters just by looking at them. I didn't even see the rat and stuff, it was really their demeanor and the tone of the composition. Speaks a lot to the talent of Neil to bring characters to life with words, and the talent of the artist to give the words a face.

That's crazy.

As soon as I read the book, I sketched these two. He is such a good storyteller.

The first book villains I was actually afraid of! They were just so chilling, and you captured that nicely.

Mine too. They jumped out of the pages, didn't they?

Fortunately not, that would have been rather bloody for us readers!
But yes, they're a marvelous, catchy pair of villains!

I absolutely love this! I featured it on my blog for my review of "Neverwhere", sorry I didn't ask permission, I gave credit and everything but if it in't okay I can take it down.
Thanks for your great fanart though!

"Possibly the best Croup and Vandemar I’ve ever seen. Probably because it’s the first one I’ve seen that scared me."

What? No cartoonish features? No "whoops! Was this supposed to be scary?" bright colors? So paint me grey and call me a direwolf if it isn't one seriously talented artist showing off the best damn Neverwhere Fanart on the whole site!
