In case you missed it, I did all of #inktober2017 and put them up on Instagram and Twitter! You can see the colored version with all 32 (!) drawings over on my Patreon.
Anyway, go read my webcomic and buy things from me.
Guess what everyone!
I made a Patreon! I've been picking at it on and off for a while, and figured it was finally time to just launch the thing. There are five reward tiers to choose from, and all patrons will get to see Ruby Red a day early, so go take a look!
Patreon lets you pledge money to a creator in exchange for rewards. You can select how much you want to pledge each month, and can adjust the amount or cancel your pledge anytime. Becoming a patron of my art is a great way to contribute to the free webcomics I make.
This is a work in progress, and I'm bound to think of new things I can do for my patrons. Suggestions are always welcome!
It's been a while! I've been pretty active elsewhere on the web, but I've neglected Deviant Art in the past couple years. Sorry about that! I've been posting more sketchbook and in-progress art over at Instagram, and finished artwork on my Portfolio website. And, of course, Ruby Red has been updating regularly every Monday! So I'm not dead, I haven't given up my art in favor of a more promising career in competitive frisbee golf, I promise.
My SquareUp store is still up, too, and includes a new piece of art I did for the Doubleclicks' music video "Women Know Math." And... keep your eyes out for Volume 2 of Ruby Red! I'm waiting for the physical proof copy, then I'll probably go ahead and order some for the store.
Lastly, I'm open for commissions! Click on the chart below for basic pricing information, or contact me through my website if you have something else in mind you’d like me to draw.
I ink all of my artwork traditionally. If you’d like the original drawing and/or a color print sent to you, please let me know. Shipping and the price of ordering the print will be charged. I accept payment through PayPal or through SquareUp.Portfolio | Ruby Red (a Webcomic) | Buy things from me | Instagram | Twitter | Facebook | Tumblr (General) | Tumblr (Ruby Red)
SC Comicon 2016 is this weekend! I will be at table 233! I’ll have comics, prints, buttons, and sketch commissions! Come by the table and say hi!
If you can’t make it to the con, you can check out my SquareUp store, or you can commission custom artwork from me! Click on the chart below for basic pricing information, or contact me through my websiteif you have something else in mind you’d like to have drawn.

Penultimately, my mini-comic Over the River is complete! Well, there’s a bit of a cliffhanger, but that’s it for right now. Go check it out!
Lastly, Ruby Red is still coming along. I am in the process of inking right now. I’m doing something new for these pages–I drew the pencils in blue lead, so I can skip over the erasing stage and save my wrist some trouble. My favorite stage of comic-making changes every time I change stages, but I really do enjoy inking. There is something completely satisfying about seeing the final form of the comic take shape.
I've got a surprise one-day convention this weekend! Mochi-Day in Liberty, SC! Admission is just $5, so really, how can you go wrong? I'll have the usual prints, books, and buttons, and I will be doing commissions. I will be sharing a table with fellow artist Alicia! See you there!
So, I know I haven't been updating RUBY RED on here for a while, but last Monday, Chapter One: The Woman in Red came to a close. We've still got four more chapters to go, but I'm taking a break before starting on Chapter Two: Blue-Eyed Boy. Today's comic is technically a rearranged version of the cover to issue #7. I'm going to work on the planning stages of Chapter Two (book two? whatever) for a while so that once I start updating, I can get through the whole chapter without another hiatus. The Woman in Red has been a wild ride since its start, but I've learned a lot so far. I'm really excited for what strange new horrible frustrating challenges the next four chapters will bring.
If you're reading this but for some reason haven't read the comic yet, go! Here's THE first page!
Keep up with me on facebook - deviantart - twitter - tumblr - instagram to see when the comic comes back, and other things I do. If none of those sound appealing, shoot me an email here and I'll add you to a list to be notified when Ruby Red updates again. Also check out my portfolio website!
I will be sharing artspace with Desi, Kiara, Courtney, and Allison. Come by, get some cool stuff, and hang out with the cool kids! I'll be doing commissions and selling prints, original artwork, buttons, and of course copies of Ruby Red: Volume 1. It was really hard not to end every sentence with an exclamation point, that's how much fun this convention is. See you there!
As of right now, we will be at table
Meanwhile, I am working on the next pages of Ruby Red. The hiatus is going on a little longer than I anticipated, but Ruby Red will be back soon enough. You can follow me on Twitter or Tumblr or Facebook if you want to be kept up to date on the progress of the comic (admittedly I don't update facebook much, but I will with the things that matter).
See y'all at the con!
(If you still haven't answered this poll, please do!)
