The owner of the mechanic shop I work in has a friend, who's a professional drag racer. He's just finished building his new Camaro to replace the Pinto he raced, Paranoid I, and of course, needs a new paint scheme. The guy's a cheapskate, as well, and didn't want to spend $1500 on a professional designer, so Mike mentioned me! Yay!
So now I'm designing the graphics for this car, my first time ever to do this for a paycheck. It's gone through several stages thus far, and this is the best yet, I believe. Hopefully my client will think so, as well. *crosses fingers*
I'm really pleased with the checkered flag; it took me quite a while to get it just right. The only things I would change are the Chevy Bowtie on the hood scoop, but the guy wants it there *sigh* As well as the wheels, rear wing, and wheelie bars. I had vectorized the whole thing from a photo, but the guy couldn't picture it without the REAL THINGS so I did a crappy little cut/paste job to satisfy him. But oh well. Hopefully it shall end up on the car!
