Final Project Draft 1
Looking for the Anatomy of a man removing Top knot. Hmmm.... I think I’ll have him reach with the knife hand as well.

I’ll add clothes when I redraw this for the actual project I’m going to hand in. 🤔 I’m just not good enough to do it in one go. 😂😂

I have a few weeks until my final project is due and I was wondering if I should go with a Japanese man cutting off his top knot or if I should have him hold a blade for Seppuku.

I’m not sure if my instructor would understand the significance of removing the top knot, but I also feel that since hands are my weakness I should do the Seppuku pose to have detail on the hands.... well anyway my first sketch is in the works and I’m goin with the Top Knot for now. *sigh* Final Project by JDGRIMM
Experimenting with proportions pt.2
Still trying to nail proportions without initial guide lines. I’m noticing that I end up making some portions of the face too large. In this case the mouth was too large and the eyes and bridge of the nose to small. 🤔 the last one the eye was too big.... hmm.... I’ll keep trying for a bit then switch back to the guides.

Trying proportions from memory.
Well.... The eye is way WAAAAAAAAAAAY too big. I think I need to study face proportions more -_- maybe if I would have made the lips and nose larger I could have saved it?? Idk -_-

So even though we’ve only been talking about value and rendering for a day in class.... I have to say I have no idea what the instructor is saying. He keeps saying “push the details out” and I’m just making a mess on the paper and adding value randomly. There’s not really a reference besides what he is drawing so I can’t just copy value from a model... so I feel like I’m lost at the moment. -_-Not understanding value by JDGRIMM

Thanks! It is actually my first account ☺️ trust me, eventually I will have a TON of questions. But I also saw Boba Fett and the awesome lines in “The Mace Returns” and knew I would benefit from seeing more. As selfish as that may sound
