Thursday (4-14-11) was the last day of spring clinicals. It was amazing. I felt happy...actual happiness at what i did. Others may paint emotions, pull and push ideals through clay, and/or type new and exciting worlds, I do something entirely different. My art is measured in the comfort of others. A piece of resolve and comfort of those who need it most. The world may never know or display my actions, but the title says it all. "Nurse." The word itself is so beautiful and amazing....and while I have my doubts if I would ever make it completely....the compliments, the smiles, the peaceful grateful looks, and even those confused looks make my heart swell. "Nurse" stands for so much responsibility: advocate, protector, communicator, listener, health care provider, teacher, and friend. I never could see myself as so many things, but so far I have changed so much and with help from others I can change even more. I can change into something completely unrecognizable: something my family and others would be proud to say "she is a nurse."
