Rei's Inner Self

Art production had been held up due to errands I had to run last week, but I did manage to find time in between to work on a few of the planned pieces for this month.  This is one of said drawings that I was able to complete (and hopefully the other one I've hinted at will be done soon too)!  So it's been a while since I drew Luigi and Rei Mizushima, let alone in a picture together; last time I featured this pairing was in a short comic almost three years ago!  But considering how very little I did upload in between that time until this year, there's actually quite a lot of stuff I need to make new art of!

That aside, most longtime followers are familiar with how Rei is a bit of a tsundere in regards to her attraction towards Luigi.  Her tendency to act rude and criticize his flaws is merely a front to cover up her true feelings.  So you may have wondered, "Then what does Rei actually think of Luigi?"  Well...  As you may have guessed from the picture, she uh, likes him quite a bit...!  Such behavior wouldn't leave a good impression of the Mizushima family on potential onlookers though; so in addition to meditating to manage her fear of ghosts and the flow of her aura, Rei has to also use it as a means to keep her indecent side under control.  She'll never tell anyone about that specific aspect of her meditation training though...!  As always, hope you guys like the drawing (and I suppose this is in theme for the month)!

1/31/2024 Edit: So back in October of last year, I noticed a deathly mistake in the drawing here; Rei's hands weren't fully colored in!  I'm surprised no one really noticed (or at least mentioned it), especially since my old laptop would cease functioning in September, leaving me unable to fix the problem.  Until today; yeah decided my first order of business before I actually get back to drawing was to fix this error.  Thankfully I was able to recover my data, so I won't have to be on hiatus even longer getting my source images and music back!
