Kirby 64 3D Logo

By
If Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards were to get a remake, it would kinda go without saying that the logo would be updated, so here's my take on what I think it will look like!  Of course, I'd be even more hyped up if it were to be announced for the Wii U, but all signs seem to point to it being placed on the Nintendo 3DS.  I'm going to be writing a journal about this subject, so I figured I needed a suitable picture to set the tone; stay on the lookout for it, I'll have it up soon!

Kirby 64 is owned by Nintendo/HAL Laboratory, Inc.

Nintendo hates this game, but loves the soundtrack

The lack of a remake would make it seem that way; however...  I DISAGREE!! (would use a Colress icon, but DA doesn't have one; I should fix that pretty soon!)

After all, all those remixes gotta lead to something big, right?

Heheh, yeah... just like Super Star Ultra right?
JBX9001's avatar
Indeed!  ...Though Kirby Super Star is to Kirby like Super Mario World is to Super Mario; almost every game after them mentions or references them in some shape or form.

Not that it's a bad thing though; those games are awesome!

I hope Nintendo make a Mario & Luigi + Kirby

That'd be pretty amazing!

Maybe a 3D remake would allow Hal to go forward with their initial plan of making all 5 characters playable.

Though personally, I'd rather priorize a Super Metroid 3D. (aka the only way of undoing Other M's damages)

That's what I'm hoping for!  And they could make "Kirby 64 3D" and "Super Metroid 3D" at the same time; HAL Labs handles development for the Kirby series, so that helps save time, if anything!

Though... There MIGHT be a problem with the gameplay.

You know that Kirby 64 played on the same slow pace as the pre-Superstar games, right? They'd have to rework a lot of thing to make it work on the fast-paced gameplay of the modern Kirby games.

...And that would require tweaking all the abilities and combinations (like adding new moves).

I'm sure they'll be able to pull it off!  My only question is if the health system will utilize the classic hit point method or the modern health bar method.  If anything, I'm hoping they put in true mid-bosses this time around (as that was the only thing I didn't like; mid-bosses just being bigger versions of standard enemies)!

Make it happen, Nintendo!

I have a feeling it will pretty soon!

All we have to do now is hope for the best. :-)

Honestly, all I want is for Kirby 64's (and KD3's characters) to make a comeback. Kirby's world would feel so much more complete if they were all mainstays. 4 characters can only do so much if you ask me.

That said, this is a charming and fun picture indeed, though I can't see HAL remaking this after they released Kirby Dream Collection.

Well, it has been a good three years at this point, you never know.  People originally thought they'd never remake Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire, but sure enough we got 'em now!  Of course, when exactly Nintendo may do this is completely up to them; fans like you and me can only hope they release it soon!

I'd be psyched if they made this, I'd LOVE to play this game again, maybe I'll actually BEAT miracle matter this time
JBX9001's avatar
Who wouldn't?  It would be amazing!

I'd have a better understanding than 8 year old me did. But I'd like to see miracle matter tweaked a little.. It's a really cheap boss
JBX9001's avatar
Maybe they'll go with a health bar in the remake rather than having six hit points, to make it more like the modern Kirby games.  That might make it a little easier; unless Miracle Matter's attacks do a lot of damage!
Attackrage92's avatar
The problem is the attack pattern is random and you're not able to really use powers against it, it attacks in ways that most power combos can't hit and often, it just bumps into you without warning
