1990S - Plumbing New Heights by jbwarner86 1990S - Plumbing New Heights by jbwarner86

A quick primer for anyone born after 1992: while perusing your local supermarket, you may have at some point heard a sappy soft-rock love ballad with way too much saxophone in it, wherein a guy who sounds like Bryan Adams but isn't inquires about the specifics of communicating with angels and likens it to attempting to capture a meteorite. That was the theme song to an embarrassingly short-lived "Beverly Hills 90210" knockoff called "The Heights", a show which garnered a bit of national attention when FOX released its theme song as a Top 40 single that, in the age of Nirvana and Pearl Jam, miraculously reached number one. Naturally, I think a pop cultural event like this would leave Aaron baffled.

I don't remember this song, and I got exposed to way too many cheesy soft-rock ballads.

Not that they don't have a point, but honestly, who are they to criticize what music people can and can't enjoy, even if it is commercial trash? And in my opinion, Sugar, Sugar is a fun song, I think it's great (in a really cheesy way).
They're going to lose it several years later when Hatsune Miku becomes big ;p

Hey, Sugar Sugar isn't a bad song. But some of those top tens can really get played to death. Two Princes, for example. At least it's not Smashmouth's All Star. Another good but overplayed song. Having just heard "How do you talk to an angel"... it's a 20 second song on repeat for 3 and a half minutes!
Things do get forgotten, the whole of it it remembered, not the little things- unless it's the little things that get remembered.…

Interestingly, the theme song for The Heights was on one of those Television's Greatest Hits CDs. I've always skipped over that song, however.

Who the crap is Sam Q. Goody, though?
