I’m not sure I have told you this. I started watching Star Trek only because of My Little Pony back in the 2010’s because Discord, who is the ‘Q’ of MLP and voice by the same actor, John de Lancie.
Funny, I watch shows and movies because of the recurring references.
yes my daughter watched MLP and I recognised John Delance too, he always plays a good part and I love him as Q.

To be honest, the only moment I hate Mariner is when she was irresistibly yawning during a meeting about discovery of an unknown alien terraforming technology. For starters, rude! Second, how is terraforming boring? She sound as if terraforming is a common thing in the Star Trek Universe.
But what do I know? I’m just a primitive 21st Century Human living on a slowly dying planet. We don’t have terraforming tech, of course, we’d be amazed to something like terraforming. Probably like Cavemen amazed by the invention of the wheel.
