Professor Kay Dalton was born in 1886. He was a poor kitten at the time. His parents were strict and he was the youngest kitten of his family. It was the height of the late Victorian era. Growing up, his family lived in a farm in the South. His parents made him work at the farm all day every day until he went to High School. In high school, he was a very studious pupil. He studied every exam and test. Although his favorite class was music, he still studied for exams from classes he does not like as well. In 1904, he graduated high school and moved on to Katnip Kollege and studied music (but it was mostly classical music because jazz wasn’t evolved until around 1915-1923). So he majored in music education and graduated in 1908 (as you can his statue in the playground near Katnip Kollege). In 1914, he married his college sweetheart and by 1922, he got a well to do job as the Swingology professor which he created since classical music was was fading away and jazz music was becoming more mainstream. Now at 52 years old in 1938, he punished the first excelled student, Johnny Cat (which I will write about in 11 days). But he was sorry about it and his boss did not get fired. He was actually living in a nice large house with his lovely wife and three children, two daughters and one son. (Which we will write about later in the month). He will eventually retire by 1946 at age 60 years old and enjoy his rest of his life. To be continued to chapter two!
