Chapter 8
Mother Nature’s force
As Mother Nature got her sword ready, both Jenni and Jayjay were surprised about how serious she was.
“For this exercise we’ll be working on your dodging and your blocking, and what you two have to do is to try and knock me off my feet got it? Good then, well are you ready”? she said sounded both excited and serious in her voice.
Looking at each other and seeing the determine look they both faced and shouted “ready”! Smirking Mother Nature came at them with surprising speed, she knocked Jayjay back sending him a few feet back. Shocked about what she just did Jenni tried landing a hit with one of her daggers, but no luck. Mother Nature blocked her attack and sent Jenni flying back, catching his breath Jayjay tried knocking Mother Nature off her feet by sending a rush of water her way, noticing his attack Mother Nature didn’t dodge it. Instead what she did surprised Jayjay she held her sword up and slashed it down making the water split.
“You two are gonna have to do better than that”. She said in a serious voice.
Completely shocked Jenni went up to him, to snap him out and to pay attention. They looked at each other and tried thinking of a plan to knock Mother Nature off her feet.
“Okay I think I might know how to knock her off her feet”. Jayjay whispered to Jenni.
“I’m all ears, what’s your plan”? Jenni asked
“Well how about you get one side and I get the other and when I yell fire you try hitting with every fireball you got, and when she’s busy avoiding your fireballs, that when I hit her with a wave of water. Sounds good”? He asked.
Jenni looked at Jayjay with a blank face and asked him
“That’s your plan”? She said with a annoyed tone
“Well it’s all I got! If you got a better let’s go with that one”. He said as he gave her a dead look.
Thinking for a moment Jenni nodded her head and went with Jayjay’s plan, looking and trying to figure out what the two of them are trying to do, Jenni went to Mother Nature’s right side and waited for Jayjay’s signal.
“Now fire”! He yelled
As soon she heard him say Jenni started fire balls like crazy at Mother Nature, as Mother Nature blocked some of the fireballs Jayjay came up from behind and was ready hit Mother Nature with a wave of water.
“Jenni get out of the way”! He yelled to warn Jenni to get out of the way.
When Jenni heard to get out of the way she stopped shooting fire balls and got out of the way. Mother Nature turned around to a wave coming towards her, however instead off trying to avoid the wave Mother Nature did something different. She stuck her sword into the ground held her hand flat and blew from her hand, as she did that Jayjay and Jenni saw that wave was started to freeze up. When the whole wave was frozen she snapped her fingers and made the wave shattered into pieces. She grabbed her sword and said to Jayjay.
“I’m impressed you were able to make a wave that big, but the way the two of you are fighting now is different from when you two fought your dragons. There was a fire when that happened, so where is that fire now tell me. If you aren't being serious then maybe it was a bad choice to make you two the new guardians”. Mother Nature said with a cold serious voice.
Now getting annoyed Jenni and Jayjay, Mother Nature saw something different from them. What she saw surprised her, she saw that Jenni and Jayjay powers were now growing. Jenni’s eyes started to glow red and Jayjay’s glowed blue. Jenni came at Mother Nature with great speed and strength, and started swinging like crazy with her daggers, with a few blocks Jenni was able to send Mother Nature back a little. Now it was Jayjay’s turn, he came up from her side and started to fight with speed and agility, with each strike from the two they were making Mother Nature back up to the line she marked. Strike after strike, Mother Nature wasn’t able to keep up with the two of them. Losing her balance Jenni and Jayjay came at Mother Nature with a tag-team attack strike and were able to make her loose her balance, as she fell on her back she looked surprised with the teamwork the two of them showed. Smiling and impressed with how they work together she could tell they’re almost ready to face Rasor.
“Now… there's the fire I saw within the two of you, however you must remember that when your facing Rasor you must work together”. Said Mother Nature in a calm serious voice.
Looking at each other they smiled and laughed about what they did, looking at the time they opened a portal home.
“Good work tomorrow we’ll work on dragon training”. Said Mother Nature.
As Jenni and Jayjay went through the portal, they saw the time was 5:30, they went and got some food and went for a walk after, and went home. As they Jayjay got home his parents started to lecture him about what he’s been doing and why he’s been acting strange.
“Now, honey be honest are you doing drugs”? His mother asked in a voice of concern.
“What? Mom no! i’ve been just hanging out with a friend that’s it i swear”. Jayjay said annoyed.
“Okay, then explain to us why you keep coming home late”? His father asked in a serious voice.
Jayjay didn't say anything he just looked away from his father’s glare, feeling the mood from the parents he stayed quiet. Not wanting to have this conversation, Aquata saw that he was annoyed and tried to help him out. She looked around and saw a lamp and shot it down with her fire, seeing them wondering what just happened Jayjay ran to his room.
“Thanks Aquata”. he said relieved
“No problem, but are you okay? you seemed kinda annoyed with your parents. I’m guessing having a secret life isn’t easy”? She asked with concern
“I guess you can say that, it’s just my parents are kinda strict and they kinda want me to be like my big brother and sisters, like I have to make sure I have perfect grades, or I should make sure I have a good job and future. It’s just kinda annoying, they want me to live my life the way they want”. He sad in a depressed voice.
Seeing the sad look, Aquata flew to his shoulder and snuggle with him hoping he would feel better. Seeing what she was doing Jayjay smiled.
