Same deal as last time. There's a commission from another artist that I have my eye on, but I don't have enough points yet. Since I don't feel like shelling out five dollars for 400 points when all I need is 20 or so, I decided that instead, I'll open a commission spots in the hopes of getting those points. ^^

I completed one commission from last round, but the other three people who ordered commissions never messaged me back when I asked for specifics, so I'm considering those commissions cancelled for the time being. For now, there's just one icon commission open. I can make it a Christmas icon if you want. ^^ This is first come first serve (unless there's something in the first request that I just can't do), so don't feel bad if you don't get picked. Please use the form below to request your commission.

Commission Form:

Character(s): (name the character(s) you want me to draw and leave a link to their reference sheet or anywhere I can grab their colors from)
Commission Type: (tell me which of the commission type options I've listed here that you want)
Background: (tell me whether you want a detailed or abstract/plain background, and if detailed, describe the background you want)
Any Additional Requests: (anything else you want me to know about how you want your commission drawn)

Commissions Prices:

EDIT: I'm sorry for the delay on picking the commissions. I had some job interviews pop up unexpectedly, and I had to focus on those. To make up for the delay, I've decided to take on four commissions instead of three. You can find the commisions I've picked below.

If I've picked your commission, please message me so we can discuss payment and any details of the commission that haven't already been stated.

There's a commission from another artist that I have my eye on, but I don't have enough points yet. If I buy 400 points for $5, I'll be 25 points shy of the amount of points I'd need. Since I don't feel like shelling out an extra five dollars for another 400 points I don't currently need, I decided that instead, I'll open a few commission spots, with the hope of raising the points I need for this other commission, with some left over. ^^

It's been a long time since I've had commissions open, so I decided to completely revamp my list of prices and options for commissions. Most of the prices are about the same, but have maybe been bumped up a bit. I think my prices are rather fair for what I'm offering.

I'm offering only three commission slots at this time, and it'll be my choice, not first come first serve. I'll probably decide on which I wanna do rather quickly, though, so ask quickly if you want something. Below you will find my commission prices, and the commission form you'll have to fill out before I'll accept your commission. I won't promise any specific deadline for when these commissions will get done, because I know myself too well, but if it takes longer than two weeks for your commission to be done, let me know and I'll bump it up to first priority.

I was tagged by :icondevinital: to give eight facts about my character Darkbreeze from my Warrior fanfiction series Echoes of the War. *cracks knuckles* Alright, this should be fun. :D Darkbreeze is my favorite EOTW character, so I’m really happy she was picked. All but the last of facts were made up on the spot (the first part of the last fact was just made up, but the second part I've had sitting in my notes for a while), but they’re canon now because I’m the author and I said so. :P But it’s not like I made them up just ‘cause, they’re meant to be fitting to her character and everything I’ve already shown and implied in EOTW.

1. Post These rules.
2. Post 8 facts about your Character.
3. Tag 8 other people along with the characters you want them to write about (which leads to rule 4)
4. Post their avatars and write the character names next to them.

Alright, here we go. ^^

  1. Darkkit and her sister Nightkit were three and a half moons old when Heathertail finally sat them down and told them why their father wasn’t a WindClan cat anymore. Nightkit wasn't entirely surprised – she remembered being dragged out of the den by a Dark Forest cat during the battle, and witnessing the subsequent fight between her father and mother after she was saved, and she'd heard the whispers from her Clanmates about Breezepelt being a traitor afterward.

But Darkkit was completely stunned. Her father had been a bit grumpy and moody when he'd been in her life, sure, but he'd played with her and had loved her and had been a good father. She couldn't believe that the father she'd thought she'd known had been a murderer and a traitor all along. It took some time for her to come to terms with the truth, but eventually Crowfeather sat her down and gently explained how Breezepelt had been raised, his own part in neglecting Breezepelt, and how Breezepelt had chosen the Dark Forest. It took Darkkit some time to come to terms with Breezepelt's actions, and Crowfeather's past as a terrible father to his son, but eventually she forgave Crowfeather. He may have been a terrible father before, but he was a great grandfather to her and her sister now, and that was what she cared about.

She eventually moved past the loss of her father, and bounced back to being her happy-go-lucky self. When her father returned, however, some of those feelings of betrayal and hurt and disbelief surfaced again, especially after Breeze stole Nightfern's son away and killed Crowfeather, who had been a truer father to her. Her feelings of betrayal eventually turned into hatred for her father, and she ended up being one of the cats to kill him. She feels some sadness about this, but most of her love and regret for her father vanished the day he stole Graykit from her sister.
  2. As a kit, Darkkit would constantly pester Crowfeather for stories about the sun-drown quest. She was fascinated by the far-off places and dangers he described, and she loved the idea of these friends from all four Clans forming a close bond and facing the great dangers of the world as one. Though Crowfeather never said anything to her about it, her enthusiasm for these stories did make him worry that Darkbreeze would either leave WindClan one day to see these wonders for herself, or forgo Clan boundaries the way he had in his youth. It came as a legitimate surprise to Crowfeather when Nightfern ended up being the one of the litter to take a mate from another Clan rather than her more carefree and rule-disregarding sister – though he did feel somewhat vindicated when he watched over her relationship with Cosmo from StarClan.

When she was old enough, he did tell her about his relationship with Leafpool and how much pain their mistakes had caused themselves and others – but then he added that Darkbreeze was a much smarter cat than he had ever been, and he knew that he couldn’t make her decisions for her, and he would support her wherever her heart eventually led her. Darkbreeze understood his concerns, but was always grateful that he was understanding of her desire to explore beyond her own borders. She often wondered how much she suspected about his friendship with Silentstorm, and indeed he guessed that the two she-cats were closer than they let on, but she never worried that he would tell on her because of it. Crowfeather had always made sure that she knew he trusted her.

  3. Related to the above point, at Darkbreeze’s first Gathering, she made a straight beeline for Bramblestar and Squirrelflight before they had a chance to reach the Great Tree. She attacked them with gushing about how cool they were and how much she loved hearing about the sun-drown quest and questions about all of the things Crowfeather claimed had happened. Gorsetail managed to drag her apprentice away before Darkbreeze embarrassed herself too much, and she kept her well away from Tawnypelt, the only other sun-drown quest member, until the next Gathering when Darkbreeze had a bit better control of herself.

Bramblestar was mostly bemused by the whole thing, but Squirrelflight thought it was hilarious that the grumpy Crowfeather had such a perky, energetic granddaughter to deal with, and she found Darkpaw’s enthusiasm for their quest amusing and somewhat touching. She also saw a bit of herself in the eager young she-cat, though Darkbreeze lacked her snark or bite. Darkbreeze never went quite so fangirl on the sun-drown quest cats again after that, but she always admired them and held them all in high regard.

  4. As well as Heathertail and Crowfeather, Darkbreeze actually had a very good relationship with her uncle Kestrelflight growing up. Her other uncle Weaselfur was nice enough to the siblings, though a strict warrior and deputy, and her younger uncle Quickhare was fun to play with in their younger days, but Darkbreeze clicked with Kestrelflight in a way she didn’t with her other relatives. They both had the same overly-cheerful, overly-trusting, overly-happy nature, even if Darkbreeze was a bit more self-aware and perhaps intelligent than her gentle uncle.

Even though Darkbreeze never had the patience or inclination for healing, she would often barge into Kestrelflight’s den as a young kit, sending carefully-sorted herbs scattering in her enthusiasm as she begged her uncle to play with her. Kestrelflight never lost his patience with Darkkit for her energy – he could remember being the same way as a kit all too well. He was even more willing to forgo pride and goof off with her and play around like a kit than Crowfeather, or even Heathertail. Crowfeather was a more mature and parental presence in Darkbreeze’s life, and he was the one she turned to for advice on serious matters or when she felt bad about herself – but he couldn’t make her laugh like Kestrelflight could.

As she grew older, Darkbreeze would turn to Kestrelflight when she needed to take her mind off of stress and just goof off for a bit. She was devastated when he died, but she was so focused on keeping her newborn kits, and the visiting Jaykit, alive that she barely had time to grieve.

  5. When Darkpaw was assigned Gorsetail as her mentor, the senior warrior was at first uncertain about her new apprentice. Darkpaw’s father had been the one to murder Gorsetail’s daughter Swallowtail after all. But that feeling of apprehension was very brief on Gorsetail’s part. Even if Darkpaw somewhat resembled her father in looks, it was very quickly obvious that she was nothing like him in personality. It took no time at all for the cheerful, friendly apprentice to win her mentor over… before the endless enthusiasm and energy of the young cat started to become tiring. Gorsetail had to move like a cat half her age to keep up with her energetic apprentice, and the endless cheer and questions were sometimes grating.

But Gorsetail could never hold a grudge against Darkpaw for long, and eventually became fond of the cheerful little tabby on her own merits. In a way, Darkpaw somewhat reminded Gorsetail of the cheerful Beechfur, the mate she’d loved and lost moons ago, though Darkpaw was definitely her own cat. She was very proud when Darkbreeze became a warrior, and fiercely defended her against any who doubted her loyalty when Breeze came back and started making trouble for the Clans.

  6. Darkbreeze would claim to any who would ask that, if WindClan and ThunderClan came to battle, she could set aside her friendship with Silentstorm in order to fight her. While that was perhaps true in the beginning of her friendship, Darkbreeze became less and less sure of the sentiment the longer she knew Silentstorm and the rest of her non-WindClan friends. By the time the Clans were living together in the city, she was deeply in doubt that she could ever fight the friends she’d grown to love so much, and by the time the Silent Battle was over, she was absolutely certain that she could never hurt any of these cats. She loved Specklefoot and Silentstorm as friends too deeply to ever hurt them, and even the Silent Battle participants that she hadn’t been as close to, she’d been through too much fighting beside them to ever turn her claws on them.

In the years following the Silent Battle, the few times she and her non-WindClan friends had to meet in battle, she always sheathed her claws when fighting against fellow fighters from the Silent Battle, even if they (namely Finstrike or Ambertalon) didn’t return the favor. The few cats who noticed could never bring themselves to confront her about it, not after how she’d helped saved them in the Silent Battle. Darkbreeze never held back against any other non-WindClan cats, however, and never hesitated to defend her Clanmates, even against her friends – though in the case of her friends, she mostly just knocked them away from her Clanmates and kept them distracted while her Clanmates got to safety.

  7. When Darkbreeze first started helping Specklefoot to train Cosmo, she was deeply curious about how cats outside of the Clans lived, and was glad to meet such a friendly cat who would be willing to answer her questions and help her explore the city. From there, she and Cosmo very quickly became friends, their similar cheerfulness and enthusiasm allowing them to get along almost immediately. As the moons passed, however, Darkbreeze was surprised by just how deeply she trusted and cared for the kittypet, in a different and more intimate way than she cared about her friends.

Thinking about this scared her because of its implications, so she tried desperately to ignore her feelings, until her fear spiked when Cosmo one day confessed his feelings for her, asking her to become his mate. He was nervous about confessing his feelings, but thought that he and Darkbreeze would be great together, and saw no problem with their being in love. To his surprise, Darkbreeze reacted with fear, not joy. She gasped out that she did love him, but that they couldn’t be together, that her Clanmate would never trust her, that she couldn’t betray them, that she could never leave WindClan to live in the city with him, that she didn’t want to feel divided between her heart and her family.

Cosmo was stunned by the realization of just what a problem their relationship would be in the eyes of the Clan – he truly hadn’t understood the way the Clans worked and how their rules about taking mates worked before.  Once he realized the extent of Darkbreeze’s concerns, however, he apologized for approaching the topic the way he had and upsetting her. Darkbreeze also apologized for reacting in such a panicked way when Cosmo clearly hadn’t meant any harm. The two tried to carry on with their friendship for a short time after that, determined not to put the other in an awkward position again, but eventually their feelings won out.

Darkbreeze told Cosmo she wanted to meet more often, and he agreed almost immediately. They spent as much of their time together after that as possible, desperate to grab every last second together before they were inevitably parted. Darkbreeze knew from the start that Cosmo would not leave with her when WindClan left the city, but she loved Cosmo too much to let that stop her from spending her time with him.

After the Silent Battle, Cosmo kept his word and stayed with WindClan as a pseudo-warrior/medicine cat apprentice combo until his kits were full-grown and had earned their warrior names. He and Darkbreeze saw each other far less often after that, as Darkbreeze had a duty to her Clan and couldn’t leave them all the time, but she did her best to visit Cosmo in the city as often as she could, and he snuck away to visit her in WindClan whenever he could manage it. Moons would sometimes go by without the two seeing each other, but it was better than nothing, and the fact that Darkbreeze could still see him at all without her Clan hating her for it or the boundaries of the city and the Clans dividing them forever she considered a miracle.

Her kits often visited their father as well. Cosmo was devoted to their children, and was a wonderful father to them, earning him their love in return. Cosmo continued to visit his kits in WindClan even after Darkbreeze’s death, and he always made sure to pay a visit to Darkbreeze’s grave and update her on his and their kit’s lives, and how much they miss her. He died peacefully in his sleep four years after Darkbreeze died, and was reunited with her in the stars, the two splitting their time between StarClan and a kittypet afterlife for the rest of time.

  8. Darkbreeze died at seven and a half years of age, around half a moon after the death of her best friend Silentstorm. A dog from one of the greenleaf twoleg nests got loose and was terrorizing some of the younger warriors. Darkbreeze put herself between the younger cats and the dog. The twolegs managed to retrieve their dog, and Darkbreeze survived the initial attack, but her wounds proved too much for her and claimed her after a few days of futile efforts to heal her. She rejoined her dearest friends Silentstorm and Eeltooth in StarClan, and eventually Specklefoot, Nightfern, and Cosmo joined her there as well.

While in StarClan, she watched over her living Clanmates, including her kits. She was ridiculously proud when her daughter Stormbreeze was named as the new deputy of WindClan. She was present for Stormbreeze's leader ceremony, and gave Stormbreeze her eighth life, a life for joy, gifting her daughter all of the joy and the cheer that she had always tried to live with.

Don't feel that you have to do these, of course, I know I don't talk to all of you that often or comment on all of your stuff, but I've just tagged characters from stories I follow a lot (even if I don't comment as often as I should) and that I really admire. :D Again, though, don't feel that you have to fill this out, obviously.

I was tagged by :iconamberstorm233:

1. Post these rules.
2. Post 8 facts about your character.
3. Tag 8 other characters.

1. Jayfeather was always there for Silentstorm and Blazeheart growing up, but he was always closer to Silentstorm. Blazeheart was sometimes jealous of their close relationship as a kit. It took him a while to realize that their closeness was partly because they shared something Blazeheart would never have; the struggle to navigate Clan life as a blind cat. After that, it was easier not to be jealous, because he would remind himself that it was lucky Silentstorm had someone so like her to help guide her, and he was more grateful than he could say that the Clan's medicine cat would fight for Silentstorm's right to train as a warrior harder than any cat.

2. Snowfall was lonely as a kit. Seedlight and Lilyfrost were apprentices when he was pretty young, and while Ambertalon and Dewpaw were always ready to play with him, they were both more outgoing and ready to joke and play-fight than he was. He wished there was someone quieter that he could talk to and who wouldn't want to just play-fight all the time. When Cinderheart came to the nursery expecting kits, he became hopeful of finding a calmer playmate. Lichenkit died early, and Silentstorm was as playful as his littermates. But Blazeheart was always very quiet and shy. When Snowfall began hanging out with him, more interested in hearing stories and talking than his loud, social sister, he was overjoyed. He saw Snowfall as a wise, cool older kit, guiding him and helping him, almost an older brother. Their quiet, calm personalities meshed well together, allowing the two to become close. Blazeheart and Snowfall became best friends, a friendship lasting into their warriorhood.

3. When Silentstorm and Blazeheart were first apprenticed, Jayfeather decided to teach them how to swim. He had learned himself some time ago, and had used it to help their mother when she had broken her leg. He would take them out to the lake between other training sessions, have them wade out into the water, and guide them, telling them how to move their paws and how to keep their noses up above the water. Once Silentstorm figured out how to navigate the water blind, she took to the lessons very well. But Blazeheart always felt uncomfortable in the water. He eventually asked Jayfeather to stop the lessons, as being in the water scared him. Jayfeather agreed, but only after he was sure Blazeheart knew the basics to keep himself from drowning in the water. He just wanted to be sure Blazeheart knew how to keep himself safe.

4. Jayfeather is closer to Siletnstorm, but he cares for both of Lionblaze's kits almost as a father. He worries about Blazeheart a lot, about his relationship with his sister, his safety during battles, and whether he will be involved in his sister's prophecy. He fears the burden of prophecy that has plagued Lionblaze's family line ever since Firestar will make Blazeheart suffer the same burdens and hardships that he and his littermates went through as young cats, and he does everything he can to protect both Silentstorm and Blazeheart from that.

5. Ambertalon wasn't terribly close with Blazeheart as a kit, but when they became apprentices, she and Dewpaw start hanging out with Blazeheart more as he became more outgoing. After Dewpaw's death, she became closer to Blazeheart, and after he became a warrior, she was closer with him than ever. Snowfall didn't want to talk about Dewpaw because it hurt too much, but Ambertalon missed talking about him and remembering him, and Blazeheart was willing to do that. Not long after Blazeheart earned his warrior name, Ambertalon began to realize that what she felt for him was more romantic than friendly. While she knew how she felt, she understood how shy Blazeheart could be. She didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable by revealing how she felt, and, if he didn't feel the same way, making him feel uncomfortable about their friendship. So she has been waiting for him to make the first move. His overly-familiar greeting when repairing the apprentice's den, and his snuggling against her in the nursery during the snowstorm, started to give her hope he felt the same way. After the second half moon battle, she was overcome with emotion after nearly seeing him die. She was afraid she was too forward at first, that she would scare him off, but when Blazeheart told her that he cared for her too, she was very relieved.

6. Those who knew Sandstorm when she was alive see a lot of the she-cat in Blazeheart. He is much more like Firestar in personality - quiet, calm, a bit shyer. But he has a similar pelt to Sandstorm, a similar build, and the hunting skill to rival Sandstorm's. Bramblestar considered naming him after Sandstorm, but he knew he wanted Silentstorm to be named after the storm that took her to RiverClan, and that in personality he was much more like Firestar. So he named him Blazeheart, both after Firestar's warrior name because of the similarity he shared with the old leader's personality, and because of Blazeheart's own compassion and kindness.

7. Bramblestar had Ivypool in mind for Silentstorm's mentor for a while, even when he was debating whether or not Silentstorm would be allowed to train as a warrior. He thought having littermates train Blazeheart and Silentstorm might allow them to all train together more smoothly, and since Dovewing was a friendly cat who might help Blazeheart open up more, he was planning on making her Blazeheart's mentor. But when she announced she was expecting kits, he had to change his plans. He realized that Bumblestripe was a very calm and patient, and perfect for the shy Blazeheart.

8. Blazeheart's favorite prey to eat is a hare. He inherited this taste for hares from his WindClan blood. He tries not to think about this too hard, as he wants to be seen as a loyal ThunderClan cat and doesn't want cats to think too much about his WindClan heritage or question his loyalty because of it. In truth, other than Jayfeather, he is the one in his family that shows the most WindClan traits of any cat. While not as skinny as a true WindClan cat, he does inherit his lithe form from them, his swiftness and agility, and his skill at hunting. He actually looks very similar to Breeze in body shape, being taller than the WindClan cat, but sharing the same skinny build and neat features.

It was hard coming up with eight facts that didn't already appear in the story itself, and some of these were thought up now, but they fit with his story and personality, and so they're canon.

I don't feel like tagging people. If you feel like doing this, do it.
Yes, I've created a wiki for my Warriors fanfic series, Echoes of the War. I'd really appreciate any help creating articles, adding information, organizing projects, and so on. If you're interested, anything you'd be willing to do to help would be appreciated.

Here's a link to the wiki: warriors-echoes-of-the-war.wik…

I'm going to set up some projects soon, so you can join those if you want, or just add information as you wish.
I really need to start keeping a list like this.

I decided to put together a list of the commissions I owe, in the order that I owe them. If you commissioned me and you don't see your commission on the list, and I haven't completed it yet, please comment here and let me know. I'm going to try to keep this updated from now on.

Commissions I owe:

  1. (WILL NOT BE COMPLETED UNTIL THE PERSON WHO COMMISSIONED THEM FROM ME LETS ME KNOW THEY DID) Sora and Kairi as lions (can't remember who commissioned this, I think someone did? Could you let me know if you did?)

Tagged by this person: :icondevinital:
Been a while since I did one of these.

1. You must post the rules.
2. Each person must say 5 things about themselves in their journal.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and create five new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4. You have to choose 10 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
5. Go to their page and tell them you have tagged them.
6. No tag backs.
7. No stuff in the tagging section about "You're tagged if you're reading this". You legitimately have to tag 10 people.
5 things about me.

1. I broke my arm the first day of first grade by falling off the monkey bars. Still gotta count getting my legs burned by soup as my most painful experience, though.

2. I started skating because of Michelle Qwan, even though I knew very little about her, I just sorta thought she was cool. I started skating because of the movie “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron.”

3. If I could live in any fictional place ever, it would be a really close tie between the TARDIS from Doctor Who or the Inkworld from Inkheart. I know the second and third book aren't as good as the first, but I just don't care, I love the Inkworld.

4. My favorite Disney movie is The Lion King (big shock), and my favorite Disney Princess movie is Beauty and the Beast.

5. If I went to Hogwarts, my favorite subject would probably be Transfiguration. I would totally try to become an Animagus.

5 questions from the person who tagged me.

1. What’s your favorite childhood memory?

Favorite childhood memory, eh? Hmm, that's a tough one... maybe seeing Phantom on Broadway for my birthday. But that was when I was sixteen, dunno if that counts as childhood... man, I can't think of anything good. Maybe those two dogs my babysitter used to take me to visit, Buddy and Lucy?

2. What is the one person or thing you regret being obsessive over?

I was never obsessive per se, but I did have a Twilight phase in middle school, of which I am deeply and mournfully ashamed.

3. What do you miss most from your youth?

Um... probably any pets that have died. Especially Amber. :( Other than that, though, I have no idea.

4. What’s the one book you want to get a movie adaptation for?

Well, my own one day would be lovely. XD But other than that, I'm going to cheat and say Wicked, because technically Wicked's based off a book. C'mon, we all know a Wicked movie's coming one day.

5. What’s your dream job?

Author. :D

Questions I want you to answer

1. You're faced with an army of Daleks (if you don't know what that is, imagine an unstoppable, nearly unkillable alien with the sole intent of killing you.) As you glance to your left and right, you can see a wand, a sonic screwdriver, a lightsaber, a gun, and a demon knife laid out. There is only enough time to grab one. Which do you choose?

2. If you were a warrior cat, what would you look like, what would your name be, what clan would you be in, and what position would you like?

3. What is the air speed velocity of an unladden swallow?

4. A hipster and a fangirl walk into a bar. What happens?

5. The world is in mortal danger. Who do you send, and what weapon do you give them?

Sorry, not in the mood to tag. Do this if you want.
…would anyone know where I could possibly download a free/semi-cheap video editing program?

I’ve been using Windows Movie Maker for a long time, but the newer versions have gotten rid of a lot of the effects I like, and I can’t find the older versions to download them.

To be clear, I want a program that will allow me to add audio, pan with the camera, zoom in and out, play around with the camera essentially, and other video effects like that. If I could also have a transparent GIF playing overtop of another GIF, that would be absolutely fantastic, but it’s not required.

If anyone knows where I could download something like that (safely), I’d really appreciate it.

Alright, so. Does anyone here either read or have read the “Warriors” or “Warrior Cats” series by Erin Hunter? I'm assuming most of you do, because of all the Warriors art I post, but I'll assume you haven't just to be safe. Well, sit down kids, story time. This is related to something awesome-beyond-belief that happened to me, and you need to understand the background stuff before you understand why what happened to me is utterly and completely awesome.

So, for those who don’t know, the author of the series, Erin Hunter, is actually a pen name for four separate authors who work together taking turns to write the Warriors books. The names of the Erin Hunters are Vicky Holmes, Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, and Tui Sutherland.

One of the authors, Kate Cary, runs a blog called BlogClan, where she regularly talks to and interacts with the fans online. I’ve been on that website for three years now, under the username Jayfrost (the warrior name version of Jayie, although the people there know me as Jayie too). Long story short, I managed to find myself running a page on the site that basically keeps a list of all the users on the site. It’s in the form of the allegiances in the books, but that’s not what matters to this story. What matters is that I run it and update it every month.

Well, the new Warriors book, “The First Battle,” came out today. I went out and bought it, opened it while waiting in line to buy it, and turned to the first page:

I literally lowered the book and just stared at nothing in shock. There was a character named after me in a book. And not just a book; Warriors. I had literally dreamed about this day as a kid, roleplaying with my friends and watching fan animations on YouTube. I had joked about it and hoped, but I never thought this would actually happen. I asked the author later just to confirm:

So yeah. I actually have a cat in the actual books named after me. I HAVE A FICTIONAL CHARACTER FROM ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOK SERIES AS A KID NAMED AFTER ME HELL FUCKING YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't even begin to describe how awesome this is. This is one of the coolest things that has ever happened to me. I'm so freaking happy.

I haven't done one of these in a while, and :icondevinital: tagged me, so why not?

Also, hi everyone, been a while since I updated my journal , so just a recap: I'm now in college and very happy there, I'm still taking commissions, I'm still writing LotW, ZF, and EOtW: FB.

33. Why did you choose your username?: Well, that goes back a bit. When I was on Neopets quite a few years ago, I think I may have still been in elementary school, I joined this wolf roleplay called Akali Wolf Pack. Akali eventually moved off of Neopets and onto a forum, and I was there four years.

My username there was Jaypaw189, since Jaypaw (Jayfeather now) was my favorite character from Warriors. One day, all the Akali members decided to give themselves nicknames by shortening their usernames and tacking on an "y" or "ie" to the end. I turned into Jayie, and that's how I was known on Akali, and eventually it was the name I took on for the rest of the Internet.

The "the Hufflepuff" bit was because on Pottermore, I was sorted into Hufflepuff. After my initial disappointment, I realized that Hufflepuff fit me perfectly and became very proud of my Hufflepuff status.
34. What is your favourite piece of your own work?  Show us:

I'd have to say this one right here: Riley, The Nose by Jayie-The-Hufflepuff It's my most realistic piece, and I'm insanely proud of it. The shading, the texture, the anatomy, all of it.

Most faved:

If Ashfur had lived...            Ashfur walked alongside the river. He was ready. It was almost time for the gathering. His lips spread in a smile. Yes, he was ready. He would tell Firestar and everyone else what that backstabbing traitor had been hiding from them for so long. And then, Squirrelflight would feel the pain. Oh yes. The pain would hit her in the chest, as if she had run into a brick wall. Then she would know. She would know the pain he had felt each and every day. Brambleclaw would hate her. Firestar would want nothing to do with her. Leafpool would be so disapointed. And then Firestar would kick her out of the clan. Ah yes, Ashfur would savour that moment.
Green eyes flashed. Hollyleaf stepped into the light. Ashfur glared at her. "What do you want? I'm gonna tell them, whatever you say." Hollyleaf's eyes were cold. "The warrior code forbids bloodshed between cl

I suppose I'm alright with this, though I can write way better than this now. At least it isn't the crappiest of my early fics. And hey look, even back then I was interested in how changing a small detail in a story with effect the outcome. ^^

Hey guys, it's me again. Sorry about the lack of updates lately, Midterm exams kinda took over my life for a while here. The original intention of this post was to say that posting would resume normally again now, but that's no longer the case.

My iPad decided to be evil and delete all of my files. That means all of my drawings. Everything I had planned out. Commissions, fanart, the next chapter of Quiet Before the Storm. All of it gone.

Of course, I could just draw it all again, and that's the plan. But right now I'm really not in the mood to go back and redraw everything I worked so hard on before. It's just not been a good day. So I'm posting this basically to say it's probably going to be a while before I'm posting any new fanart or commissions. Terribly sorry to any of my commissioners, I promise I will get your stuff done, just not yet.

That has no effect on fanfictions however - thankfully, all of those files are saved on my iPhone, which is still working. For now.

Oh my god. My brain has gone into full fangirl squee mode, so forgive me if I'm not very coherent, but I JUST GOT MY FIRST COLLEGE ACCEPTANCE!!!! :D

The awesome thing is, it's one of my top two choices. The campus is absolutely gorgeous, they have 100 acres of farmland and 30 of their own horses, they have a great English program, and they're fifteen minutes away from an ice skating rink. I am sort of seriously in love with this college, and it's the first one to accept me. Oh yeah, and their colors are yellow and black, so I can be a happy little Hufflepuff there. My. Life. Freaking. Rocks.

Hey guys, long time no post.

So, I got a Premium Membership for my birthday, which is completely awesome, and the first thing I did with it was change my username. Here's why:

 - I made that username four years ago, when I was barely interested in DeviantArt. I didn't realize how much of my time and work would go into what I post here.

 - Hareclaw is an old, old roleplay character I used to use back in elementary school and whom I have drawn a grand total of once on DA. He is not a character I use anymore except minorly in a fanfic, nor is he my fursona or in any way representative of my personality. Also, he is a male character, while I am a girl. Having my username after a guy always sat wrong with me.

 - I have no particular interest in SkyClan. In fact, my favorite Clan is RiverClan. I made my username around the time that Firestar's Quest came out, so SkyClan was the bright, shiny new thing that my ADD mind latched onto. Now, I have no particular attachment to it.

 - Jayie is a name I earned on a wolf roleplay site. The people on there were - and in some cases still are - my friends and the time I spent on there is remembered fondly. It is also the name of my fursona. I've always wished I could change my username to Jayie.

 - When I went on Pottermore, I was hoping to be a Ravenclaw. Imagine my surprise and disappointment when the Sorting Hat put me into Hufflepuff. Even the books themselves had called Hufflepuff the house of leftovers. But then I realized that it was more than that. Hufflepuff is the house of the caring, the kind, the hard-working. Now I'm proud to be a Badger.

So Jayie-The-Hufflepuff is who I am now and that's how it's going to stay. Now I can commence with having fun with my new premium membership.

As for my fanfics, here's a list of what's in progress and what's on hold:

In Progress:

 - Echoes of the War: Book One: Faded Boundaries
 - Streampaw's Quest
 - There's No Place
 - Quiet Before the Storm

On Hold:

 - Zira's Fall (until QBtS is completed)
 - The Wanderers (until Zira's Fall is completed)
 - Coming to the Light (until Zira's Fall is completed)

I recently read a quote from Darrell Rooney, director of Simba's Pride, saying that Kovu is a complete orphan, neither the son of Scar nor Zira. I was planning on revising Fall to Hateed anyway, so now I have a reason to. I'll be rewriting all of Fall to Hatred. The changes hopefully won't be too major, but they'll make the story better ultimately.

Most importantly, I will be changing the appearances of a couple of characters. Khali will no longer be Kovu or Vitani's father, and a new one will be posted. Therefore, his appearance will be changed to take away his likeliness to Kovu and Vitani. I will also be changing Nyeusi and Safi's appearances to look less like Kovu. I will be posting updated refferences soon, and I will be posting the new story soon.

This means that Coming to the Light and The Wanderers are on hold.

Holy shiznit, my friend just gave me her extra ticket to go see the midnight premiere of the Hunger Games!! And I'm already going to see it the day after, so not only do I get to see the midnight premiere, I get to see it two nights in a row! I've never been to a midnight premiere before. I can't wait! I'm gonna wear a little tinfoil Mockingjay pin I made (since Hot Topic sold out of the pins) to the premiere.

In other news, I have a figure skating show this weekend. It's Beauty and the Beast, and I get to play Gaston. This is one of the bigger roles I've had, and for once I get to be the villain! Also, the person playing Gaston in the other cast got injured, so I get to play him all four shows. I feel bad for her, but still, i get to be Gaston all four times. It's gonna be awesome! *sigh* My life is so made of win right now. :D

I just started a new Warriors roleplay on Facebook called FireClan. I really need some role-players, so I was hoping some people on here would be interested. Here's my little info thing about FireClan:

Come join my Warriors roleplay Clan, FireClan. Wrongfully driven from their territory three generations ago, they have made their home on the face of a volcano, turning into adept climbers over the moons. The cats who witnessed the loss of their territory all died moons ago, but the need for vengeance lives on in all of their hearts. We are looking for active role-players and will welcome anyone who wants to participate.

I would really appreciate it if people joined.

Journal Entry: Thu Jan 19, 2012, 9:36 AM
I'm mostly writing this journal for the sake of actually having a journal skin, but whatever. Yay for Premium Membership Day! :D

Also, I forgot to post a journal about the SOPA blackout, but I was out all day in support. Not that it did much good without posting anything about it, but whatever.

I've seen this floating around dA, so I decided to give it a try.

1.What does your Deviantart name mean and why?

Hareclaw is one of the first rp characters I ever came up with. He's a gruff warrior who's very ambitious and wants to be leader of his Clan, but would never harm anyone to fulfill that dream. I also made my account right around when Firestar's Quest came out, so I added "OfSkyClan" to feel cool.

2. What fandom were you obsessed with when you joined and what are you into now?

Warriors of course. :D I'm still into warriors, but my true love now is Phantom of the Opera. I also love Wicked, Les Mis, and Aida.

3. How many watchers do you have now?

4. Name 3 of your favorite artists on DA.

:iconasherhyder: because of her amazing Roommates comics, :iconjackaloo: because he brings up issues people want to ignore, and because he's an awesome artist, and :iconcoloneldespard: because of her wonderful les mis fanart.

5. Do you comment, fav, or both?

I try to comment, but oftentimes I just get too lazy.

6. Do you participate in clubs' contests here on DA?

I sometimes do writing contests for warriors clubs.

7. What is your most popular submission?

Tigerclaw's Exile

8. What are your favorite non-anime TV shows?

Do you mean a show that's still on the air? I'd have to say BBC's Sherlock then, with Wipeout as a second. If not, then the unrightfully canceled Firefly. Long live the Browncoats!

9. What are the things you wish you could draw better?

Humans, and backgrouns. My backgrounds are hideous.

10. Summer or winter?

SUMMER!!! I love snow and christmas, but I hate school.

11. Rain or Sun?

It's nice to sit all curled up and warm inside on a rainy day, but swimming out in the sun's fun as well, so I'm gonna have to go with sunny.

12. What are your favorite types of music?

Whatever I find in warriors amvs to be honest. Also music in musicals.

13. PC or Mac?

14. Anime or Manga?

Erm... neither.

18. Name a hidden talent.

Uh, don't know that I really have any hidden talents, sorry.

Les Miserables, Inkheart, and Lord of the Rings.

23. Name 4 of your favorite bands/singers.

Evanescence, Within Temptation, Three Days Grace, and Avril Lavine!

24. Are you a fast, slow, or medium typist?

Fairly fast. I have dysgraphia which means my handwriting is basically at the level of a five-year-old, and always will be. I have to type my homework just so my teachers can read it. :)

I've only been there once.

26. What is your favorite smiley?

27. What is your favorite type of pie?

Facebook, Youtube,

31. Do you cosplay?

33. Plain, buttered or salted popcorn?

Buttered. Good god I miss popcorn. I've been wearing my braces for two years now and I can't have popcorn. :(

34. Have you skipped school?

Only for doctor's appointments. Also, my mom is the Test Chair at my ice skating rink, so whenever we have a test at my rink, I have to skip school and help out.

35. Have you been on a plane?

Yep, every time my family goes to Disney.

Yeah, but I'm too much of a wimp to go in very deep. My dad tried to get me to go in deeper, but I chickened out when I saw the jellyfish.

37. Have you been ice skating?

For the last seven years, yes. :D I'm about to test my Juvinile Freeskate, and I can mostly land my Double Loop, sometimes my Double Flip. My program music is from the movie Serenity, and my artistic program is the song "No Good Deed" from Wicked. For NGD, I get to dress up in a witch costume and wear green face make-up. It's amazing. :) I'm less clumsy on ice than on land, though that isn't saying much.

43. Favorite Sandwich?

An author. There's no question in my mind.

48. If you could eat with one person, who would it be?

I'd eat with J. R. R. Tolkien just so I could meet him. He invented an entire different world and gave it a depth and realism that no one else ever could. He's my hero. Though I'd probably end up being too shy to say anything.

49. What person would you hate to be stuck in a room with?

A prejudiced one. I hate prejudiced people.

50. When is your birthday?

November 11th. And this year it'll be on 11/11/11. If only I were turning 11. :D

The ability to create whole worlds in a few well-chosen words.

69. Do you have any piercings?

79. Do you like coffee?

I don't drink coffee either. The only things I drink are water, milk, and gatorade if I have to.

It's finally, finally, summer vacation. FINALLY!!!!!!

Why is it that my county is the last county to get out of school? Even most of the people I've talked to on dA are already out. But who cares, I'm finally out, and now I can get down to work on A Misty Flame, Cinderette, Coming to the Light, the Wanderers, and Fireheart's Betrayl. I will also try to finish a couple of long-overdue art trades.
