Never lose your wonder

Fractal landscape beneath the northern lights and the stars, dreaming of flying, dreaming of space, in a world of vibrant, beautiful colors exploding over the horizon of a distant city. From this field, my dreams are made infinite.

Never — not for anything nor for anyone — never lose your wonder.

There is magic in the space between worlds.

Story: Two years later, and I finally feel I can tell the story behind this. I posted the original at the end of 2014. Previous to this moment, I had been fighting hearing loss due to a tumor from when I was just six years old. After nine albums, the loss was too much to continue making music... but I had my graphic design and my fractals. And this design came at the moment when I decided to prioritize my design and to take it into the world. I haven't given up on music, in fact Japan already has ways to rebuild the entire inner ear, but I've at least put my music on a ten-year long hold. Now is the time for my fractals to shine, and to take these worlds of color and light, and bring them to others. And no, not ever shall I lose my wonder. Thank you for being here. It means the world.

Incept: My final design for 2014. It was finished just in time for the chillout music video "Even the Stars Will Fall from the Sky". The main fractal was rendered in Apophysis, as well as the nebula that is rising on the horizon, as well as many of the stars. The colors palette has undergone many changes over the years, but this most recent version is very near to what I envisioned before I started creating it.

Thank you :D I tried finding a palette that mixed the colors of a sunset with the colors of the Horsehead Nebula... but, in the end, it's all about the message.

This is awesome. Excellent effects in the sky!

Is this photomanipulation or has it been done from scratch? What software did you use? :P

Gracias. More than you would imagine was actually fractal generated in Apophysis and rendered in Chaotica, with post-processing on my iPod. The horizon itself is almost purely from photographic stock, and more of my own stock was used as a basis for building the rest of it. NASA's depiction of The Horse Head Nebula was layered onto the horizon's sunset to build the coronal effect as well as for the starscape in the sky. Even knowing the elements behind the clock doesn't make the turning of the gears any less magic.

Mad thanks, AC. That "enchantment" is entwined with every aspect of life for those with the eyes to see it.
