I've officially stopped being an artist whatever thing, but while this Deviant Art gallery stays up for now, I wanted something better, for all its faults, than the last POS I posted, as a final pic. This is about the best I could ever do, such as it was. It's based on a pic of glamour model September Carrino, FWIW. Possibly a final act of vanity. Whatever.

"Pendulous" seems to work here...

This is seriously good.

While her body reminds me of miss Carrino's, possibly slightly exaggerated, the face is all her own, and a very pretty one.
I've enjoyed what little I've seen of your work. Good luck in any new endeavours.

Very sad news :( (Sad) I hope you will reconsider someday. You really should looking in "Patreon" thing...
bagman87 Featured By Owner Dec 2, 2014
Great piece... some sad news though. I'm not one to talk about taking a break from drawing...(the feels got to me) but I'll just say that you shouldn't commit to stopping, you have true talent for illustration, and it would be a shame to see it go to waste. My advice would be try different avenues, sculptures, 3d modeling, ect. Try something different, just don't let it be over.

Thanks Bagman, but it's over.

If it's over for you then I can understand, in a similar place myself. If it's something you'd want to go into, you have my email, I'm curious about your decision.

Thank you everyone for the kind comments, but it is very unlikely that this is anything other than the end of my road. Lucy Lastique is all I've thought about for years, so I can't really imagine anything else right now. I'll probably retain this Deviant Art page, since it is free, though whether anything will appear on it again, I cannot say.

Already told you, go to a school for art and illustrations to learn new things and whatnot, and even if not, I think you will draw again someday soon.

I think you are a very talented artist, and you shouldn't give up, unless you just lost the love for it.  Your art is better than a lot of professional artist and you are very creative. Also, your comic is unique and different from anything I see out there.

Making rated R comics limits your audiences and you should find other ways to make money with your art, other than your website. Something like patreon or just do it as a hobby for now.  You don't need to be overly dramatic and work full-time as an artist and then just quit it completely. Why not do artwork for fans to get money??? I think you need to get your name out there more and post more artwork up more frequently.

Like I said earlier, dont give up and try to find other ways to make money.  Unless you just lost the love for it, keep doing it as a hobby.  I'm going to miss your art if you do quit and I wish you nothing but the best, whatever you do.

I'll be sad to see you go. Your art was always sexy, cheerful and fun rolled into one.

I also wish you wouldn't give up... Your stuff is absolutely fantastic. I, for one, would love to see future works.

Another lovely pic. Keep doing this work if you can. Your art is of high quality, and that includes comparison to any professional mainstream comic artist you might care to name. I know common wisdom is that all art is subjective, but it isn't, really. It's not hard to look at an image and say 'is this beautiful?' (does it represent quality) and 'could I do it myself with minimal effort? (does it represent dedication to a craft?)' Those two (taken together) create fairly objective criteria.

Every piece of yours I've ever seen answers 'yes' to the first and 'no' to the second. Your work is beautiful and the product of dedication. If you don't want to make any more of it that's sad, but it's okay...but don't let your reason be that you don't think you're good at it.

Because you're good at it.

I still think you are overly dramatic. I told you to post some of the works here you deem "Inferior" and let people tell you what they think. As I said, I dont think you need to stop being an artist, you just need to stop making it your job, your money maker. You can always be a very great hobby artist like so many others, there is nothing wrong with that.

Also, this image looks really nice.

Very, very sad news :'(

That said, I wish you the best life has to offer for your new life.
