Kate Mulgrew as Janeway was a hero for me as a child, too! She's still one of my heroes and female role models. I also ADORE her relationship with Chakotay, and they're my OTP!
Kate Mulgrew really established the concept of the 'Captain Mommy' style of Star Trek commanding officer, didn't she?
