Wow, wow and WOW! I have been watching you for three years now. (Ever since I joined deviant art) and I must say that this is my VERY FAVORITE of all your pieces. I absolutely LOVE everything about it SO MUCH. More than worthy of a Daily Deviation in my opinion!
Hehe, before I bore everyone with my gushing, I should probably give a more technical reason or two as to why this art completely blows my mind.
Five stars for vision, because I feel like this is out of your comfort zone and very unlike the art pieces we normally see from you. A very different style, and you completely nailed it!
The viewer isn't overwhelmed by excess scenery, but neither is the image too hyper-focused on the main couple. The tilt in the trees also helps accentuate the pose of the couple. I really love that part because it gives so much depth and perspective to the image that the viewer doesn't even realize!
Originality is hard to come by these days, but I rate high anyway because your inspiration is strong. The colors and theme as well as your background are working so well together.
Technique is mostly what I want to talk about.
I Love your technique. It looks very professional. The light source is placed perfectly behind the models, both drawing attention to them and setting them of as a silhouette with maximum impact as the focal point of the setting.
I'm going to say too, that I love that you've used less sparkle and glitter in this artwork than you normally do. I find too much glitter is sometimes overpowering, but here you've put just the right amount to make the viewer feel like we're witnessing an intimate dance between two Fairy creatures in the midnight forest? Perhaps the sparkles are fireflies, maybe fairy dust. Just enough to bring the night to life with a touch of magic!
The coloring is awesome. I love how her dress brings out the more subtle colors of the scenery. Also the little flutter of the cloth gives motion to the entire image and really sets the pace, as it were.
I think your use of lighting is getting so much better. I noticed on your artwork "Elegance" that you did recently. I loved the lighting on it too, as I said in a comment. ^^
I rate high for impact as well, because you've accomplished exactly what you want to make the viewer feel when looking at this artwork. Magic. Romance. Passion. Movement. It's all there! A feast for the eyes!
If I could suggest one area of improvement, I would say you could possibly add some blurred buses and sparkles to the foreground to complete the motion. It would help lock in that depth as well.
Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed my critique. ^^ I really do love it dear. I look forward to seeing more.
Happy New Year!
