Love the iTunes 2014-esque (the best version IMO) Parallels dock icon!

Hey Jason. I'd just like to say a massive thank you for making the desktop experience a beautiful one for us windows users as well - many apple users seem to feel obligated to forget about us.

Growing up using both system and to this day my continued love for what each of them uniquely proved, it's my pleasure.

I do have one request...Actually 2 - could you continue to provide PNGs, and would it be possible to create a foobar icon that's consistent with the look please? I'd happily pay if you'd like?

I'd love to do so however, over the past few months I decided to stop due to others stealing my designs. And since I have stopped including them the copying has subsided. I will certainly reconsider it especially if the application is available for Linux since PNG's are preferred for that OS. If you don't mind divulging, why are you requesting PNG's? Second I am not sure what you mean by "foobar icons" are you referring to menu bar icons?

No no...I use a dock, which is why I prefer icons, and on windows Rocketdock and objectdock tend to render .ico files in a way that can only affectionately be described as gnarly - hence the pleading to persist in the usage of PNGs. Usually the only alternative I have is taking the ICNS and converting it to PNG which isn't always perfect, and can be a drag.

Oh I see, alright I will do my best to start adding PNG's back in my work.

You don't have to, but it'd be much appreciated - maybe you could set up a patreon account to make it worth your while?

Hey, Jason! Awesome work! Would you consider creating an Yosemite-style Parallels icon that simply consists of the two red "bars" (the same color as the Parallels logo itself)? I'd really appreciate it!

Hi Jason. I replaced the ICNS file in resources and it looks wonderful but the problem is that when I click the app in the dock it switches back to the old icon (only in the dock). I think it has something to do with the animations. Do you know of a solution?

This should solve some of the problems you're having: www.freemacsoft.net/liteicon/

It didn't work that way either man...
Ive tired three ways so far and none of them work:
1. copy icon file and paste into "cmd-i" panel
2. copy .icns file and paste into resources folder
3. using liteicon

All change the icon immediately but when opening Parallels it changes back to original icon(just in the dock). The icon remains changed in launch board.

Man that sucks, I do run into that problem when Chrome updates and reinstalls the original Chrome icon. The only other option I could think of is to right click on the Parallels app and "show package content" then find the .icns icon for parallels and completely replace it with the desired icon with the exact file name as to force the app to find the icon that you want it to use.

Yea man I tried that too. Parallels just refuses to stick with the icon after it opens. I think its because parallels has a bunch of other icons for the animations so just changing the .icns file or such isn't going to change it when it opens. Anyway no problem and thanks for trying. Appreciate it.

You're welcome — yeah I feel ya, someone's gotta figure this out eventually!

Yeah hopefully. I was doing some "research" on google and found out that people have been having this problem since 2008 or somethin. Their Dev team must really love their icon or have a really big ego for not letting users change it.

You have to replace the icon by showing the package contents of the app and going to:
Contents > MacOS > Parallels Service > Contents > Resources.
