This is really, really cool. I love the material you used, with that rich, dark green, and mottled quality. The carving is exquisite, with lovely detail, but not so much as to lose sight of what you were trying to capture. You've encapsulated both the style of the dogu statues of the Jomon period, with the subtle unease associated with relics of His Primordial Greatness Cthulhu. I think this is an exemplary kind of work, and I hope you got a nice sum of money off of what is a very nice piece.

Thanks very much. Because of the somewhat enigmatic nature of the Dogu and the alien looking style of the Jomon vases, I thought it was a natural pairing with Cthulhu.
